I echo this, there’s been plenty of time to sort this, it’s going to be chaos.superpull wrote: ↑Sun Jul 13, 2025 9:23 pm Genuine question:
Have you tried to get a Uber from Goodison after the match before?
A Goodison with multiple exit vectors and a large chunk of the crowd able to simply walk home?
I know you are just trying to be positive and bring a bit of balance to what you see as relentless negativity. But the roads around there are simply incapable of handling what is about to hit it.
Sorting out sandhills, reinstating something like the overhead and water taxis were the only way to fix this upcoming disaster (all three of those options were in the early Liverpool Waters master plan by the way).
Give the club credit, the ability to serve alcohol in the ground after the game is a masterstroke and will actually solve a big portion of this problem. But we're still looking at chaos here. (Especially after night games when people won't be able to wait around with kids)

Is a fair pointCereal Killer wrote: ↑Sun Jul 13, 2025 8:52 pm It’s a good job the councils got reliable effective transport links boxed off!
In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
The train from town is £5, the shuttle bus is free and the rate of an Uber will go up an hour before the match day to at least double.
It was also near enough impossible to get a taxi to Goodison an hour before or after the game. It will be ten times worse at the new ground.

I got a cab from lime st to the test event ( bear in mind only half capacity) and couldn’t get near the ground. Sat on Leeds St for half an hour barely moving before getting out walking. Will be more than double capacity every week too. Not roads to take the weight of traffic by car

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Managed a couple of times to get one from Walton hall lane within half an hour but admittedly not easy, and also BMD not on match day.Bluebridge wrote: ↑Sun Jul 13, 2025 9:26 pm I echo this, there’s been plenty of time to sort this, it’s going to be chaos.

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Transport is the one thing I'm not looking forward to with the new stadium. My group has been using the same two spots to park for about 15 years, and it was a quick walk to the stadium. I'm obviously happy to trade some time to for the upgrade, but I feel like the process is being made as difficult as possible.
I reckon it'll be an extra hour either end.

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
I had my first Bramley Moore dream last night.
Walking downstairs after the game I realised I never let onto the people sitting next to me.
Then it was just walking down loads of stairs for the rest of it.
Very exciting.

They've still not told us the plan for those without smartphones have they?

Wonder if "I don't have a smart phone" will be considered enough under the "exceptional circumstances" Chelsea list in the FAQs?
