Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
I'd be open to selling him. Obviously it's not an opinion that's gonna go down well on here but I don't think he looks head and shoulders above tarkowski when they play. Or even o brien the limited times he's played centre back
Our finances are going to improve vastly at the new stadium so maybe a big sale to free up the ffp in advance wouldn't be a bad thing.
Taking 60 or 70m for branthwaite and spending an extra 130m because of the ffp wriggle room it frees up probably makes us a much better team

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
But this is where we are, we need to be realistic. To develop as a club we need to embrace this position. Be a stepping stone for young, hungry talent. Come to us, we can develop you, you can raise our levels, give everything to us, get us finishing higher, winning a domestic cup or two, get us into Europe etc, then move on to a team challenging for the league.Evertonian418 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 01, 2025 9:17 am I read an article that Branthwaite is open to a move to Chelsea, that's understandable. He wants to play in the Champions league. But I'm at an age that I think if a player wants to use Everton as a stepping stone to further their career we should take a good price and let him go. We'll be in the same situation every transfer window with him so just let him go. The grass always looks greener for many players and often isn't.
You leave us in a stronger position and we get a massive fee from you to find the next few talents.

Why in the horse walloping christ would you accept 60-70M for him?777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Sun Jun 01, 2025 10:30 am I'd be open to selling him. We turned down 65 from United last season.
Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
Tarkowski is done now. Hamstring injury and surgery, he'll be on the wind down now. Big Jake and Jarrad for the future.
Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
Sell for the right price as per any player, it's up to other clubs to meet our valuation and if they do there's no room for sentimentality.

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
I don't think that's true is it. Thought they offered 40 odd and that was it. We absolutely aren't getting more than 70m for him. Just don't think that's realistic

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
£70m is absolutely realistic and fair, when you benchmark it as we definitely will.
Maguire went for £80m 6 years ago, Guardiol for £77m 5 years ago, Fofana went for £70m 3 years ago and prices are always going up for premium young talents to English clubs.

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
If Fofana was £70m then given English tax were should be looking for a fair bit more than that
Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
We do this every single time we sell one of our best players and the same thing always happens.
We tend to overrate and overvalue our players as a fanbase .

He's not even made the latest England squad, we're not getting £100m for him.
