... What happens?
If Sunderland, Burnley and Leeds make it three seasons in a row where none stay up then that really does make the financial gap between the 17 clubs and everyone else absolutely huge.
Will they bring in a 4th relegation play-off spot? Will they redistribute the money through the pyramid? (Hahahahahaha) Will they lift PSR restrictions for promoted clubs?
Can the government get involved? Can the FA get involved?
Not a good look for the Premier Super League if it happens again.
If the promoted sides keep getting relegated...
Re: If the promoted sides keep getting relegated...
It's already a bad look, it's only happened once before last season and that was 97-98 and now it's happened twice in row. So far it's been more common for the three to stay up than be relegated.
I don't know what they do, I don't think the league's been great for the last few years and the fact we've managed to stay up with all our issues and other's haven't isn't a great reflection on them.

It's PSR doing the opposite of what it's supposed to. Teams can't afford to keep hold of players when they get relegated because if they do then they'll be outside the championship limits. Just means you can't build a team over 5 years of yoyoing as every time youre having to reset.

The Football Governance Bill that will introduce the independent regulator is slowly but steadily making its way through the Commons now, hopefully will become law later this year.
There will be a lot of weeping and wailing about it and the Premier League will try to make sure the regulator is toothless, but if they can avoid that, we might see something good coming out of it.

Not sure what the FA can do about it but a part of me wants it to continue just to show up modern PL football for what it's become.
Spurs were able to bin off half a season to concentrate on a cup, finish fourth bottom and never be in the conversation for relegation.

Re: If the promoted sides keep getting relegated...
Why should they do anything for the promoted teams while not addressing other issues. What about the dominance of the relegated teams in the championship. What about the dominance of the super clubs in winning the trophies.
You can't really address the imbalance at 1 level but not the others. Why should they help leeds and burnley relegate everton but not help everton reel in arsenal and utd (I know utd are shite but their continued spending while they continue to make a mess highlights the imbalance more than anything else)
