Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
I dont understand why after all the issues they've had that they finally look like putting everything together for the last 3 months and they've binned him off. Looks like they went through all the growing pains that can come with squad upheaval and a new manager, started reaping rewards, and then d...

Re: General Transfer Thread
A lot of money for someone who plays 20 matches a season. Insanely good but you'd have to be somewhat certain you could keep him fit for 30 matches a season at that price.
If I'm Wolves I'm selling and using those funds to improve the squad.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
I don’t know how tight money is but I’d honestly be curious to see Patterson converted to an old school hug the line and cross RM. Rightly or wrongly Dyche doesn’t trust him at RB but he’s still a talent and one we should try to use if money is tight as we can’t afford to have the money we spent on...

Re: End of Season Ratings
Harrison would look more competent in attack with a RB who could play football overlapping him. It's so easy to double up on him when you have Godfrey or Young behind him because one can't play football and the other doesn't have the legs.

Re: Summer Transfers 2024-25 Season
I had thought we had an option to extend Ashley Young which makes me think we've declined the option and offered him another year but at a lower wage. I dont mind him as a squad player but £50k a week is too much in our situation and I'm not sure he'll get near that anywhere else. Drop him and Seamu...

Should be independent medics that assess these things, it's a joke he continued playing. https://twitter.com/manchestriconic/status/1790858666641416633 Yes this should be punished. It seems like they didn't want to use a concussion sub because then he's got to sit for 10 days. So they got him playi...

Re: Amadou Onana
Definitely not a better team without him. Only player we have that consistently picks the ball up off the defence and turns upfield. Without him we go wide and can't break the lines or go long. He has a long career at the top of the game ahead of him. He's only 22, will be a CL level player in the n...

Re: Manager Merry-Go-Round
Canada has hired Jesse Marsch. Honestly not the worst appointment, he's cringe but no more than John Herdman. Although Herdma seemed to motivate the team and Marsch is not that kind of manager. He'll be better tactically than Herdman, and we somewhat have the squad to press. Although our centerbacks...

Re: Thelwell talking strategy
Gomes I don't understand but the others I do. I dont rate Young but look how much he played for us this season. Has some awful matches where he really looks his age but others where he's fine and gives us options at RB and LB. Personally think Gana is very important and would be willing to pay a hig...

Also likes to play the ITK card a lot when I have my doubts about that.
He is ok on finance stuff but my opinion is he's levels below actual professionals. No clue what his background is that makes him qualified to comment on this stuff. Is he a former I banker or something? An accountant?

Going to be a problem this lad. Shown a lot the last few weeks - needs regular minutes at a decent level though so he can develop.

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Great performance. Created two huge chances and just a great focal point with link up play. Coming short, running in behind. Just needed a goal but still a great all around performance. Could be one we get a good offer for in the summer and with his contract running down I'd assume we'd accept. Woul...

Re: 777 Partners Takeover
I dont see how administration happens. We can leverage future revenue in the short term and we have too many saleable assets. We could get a sale agreed for Onana and Branthwaite tomorrow for well over £100 million and get 95% of that advance in a loan right away. We are in big trouble without a sal...
