Carragher turning the tables now saying they have overachieved

Someone else saying the lost their entire midfield and had to re build

They replaced a fucked Fabinho and a Fucked Henderson with the best midfielder in the world* in Mac Allister
And Henderson with the best young midfielder in the world* in Szoboslai

And then picked up the best defensive midfielder in the world* in Endo

That surely makes them stronger?

It's all narratives.

This ''Liverpool weren't expected to be in a title race and they've overachieved'' narrative is a coping mechanism.

A few weeks ago, they were in the FA Cup and expecting to smash Man U, they were booking their flights to Dublin for the Europa League final and a big party for Klopp's final game, and they were leading the Premier League with 7/8 games to go.

They've massively bottled it. They've failed to beat one of the worst Man U teams in living memory 3 times this season, they've lost to one of the worst Everton teams in living memory, they've been completely dominated by a team who are 6th/7th in Serie A and they've lost at home to a Crystal Palace who had barely won a game under their new manager prior to that game.

Arsenal got slaughtered last season for bottling it, and yet all the Liverpool ghouls are out in the media telling us how they've overachieved. All complete nonsense obviously.

One of the biggest bottle jobs we've seen in the history of the Premier League.

My mate who is a Spurs fan calls them the 'History Men' but should now be known as the 'Revisionist History Men'.

Tell you what, I would hate to have someone of van Dijk's character as a captain. Spends the time on the pitch throwing his arms up at other people whenever something goes wrong, comes out after the match completely dejected, makes constant excuses, gets sly little digs in at the opposition/referee and questions everyone else's commitment. No "We've got to put this right" or similar type of rallying cry to bring togetherness, just pure woe is me (or us).

Bet he's proper tiresome bitter human to be around, no wonder Klopp made him captain.

I despise the way they bracket Hillsborough and Heysel together, like they were somehow the same and they were victims in both scenarios.
