If my kid makes it as a pro and he's not getting game time I'll properly push him to go play in Holland or Belgium or Croatia or wherever he'll play and achieve the maximum success he can.

Too many British players just seem to think their careers are worth wasting because they don't want to move abroad.
It has to be simply down to money. If there was any professional pride, one would want to go and test their talent in a competitive league, gaining the experience of a different culture in the process.

I'm with you on this one. If I were good enough to be a professional player, I would want to play, whether that be in England, or another league where I could make my mark.

The year that Jarrad Branthwaite spent in the Eridivisie did his career absolutely no harm at all. In fact, I'd even go so far as to say that going there rounded him a little more as a player and he came back to us much closer to being the finished article than when he left. Would he have developed in a similar manner playing in our reserves? I very much doubt it.

Get me a Cafu and Roberto Carlos regen for the wingbacks please. Honestly think they’re our two most impactful positions to strengthen now. Some real quality in the middle would be the cherry on the cake but wingbacks who can pin the opposition in their own half and ping it at Beto’s head all day long would put us levels above.

Never rated Roberto Carlos at all.

Thought he lived off one free lick.

I'm hoping this is a wind up as this is up there with the biggest load of bollocks I've read in my 15 odd years visiting this forum.

You've come out with some absolute garbage the past few days.

This and wanting to keep Keane on for 2 more years is up there.

Mad isn't it. You think some people are well adjusted individuals and then you find out the opinions they hold. We're probably only a few days from @AndSeel saying Farage wouldn't be a bad leader with this run of form :slap:

Imagine thinking Roberto Carlos was a good defender in this day and age mate. Those Nike adverts scrambled your brain.

Walker-peters still available on a free? He'd be my choice.
