Stake was £10m a year wasn't it?
I'd be willing to believe that, with 6 or 7 premier league clubs all looking for a sponsor to replace betting companies at the same time, it could be quite tough to find a decent deal.
Sounds like this CMC deal is just keeping the status quo from the stake deal.

Sad news given who they're run by.
Problem is, you kind of need to leave these feelings at the door otherwise you're eliminating potential deals before they've been sounded out, despite how good they are for the club.

£12m/year. I think there are around 10 clubs looking for new shirt sponsors this year so think it is a tough market.
It sounds like Stake will replace Christopher Ward though on the shirt sleeve.

Probably a three year project.
This is a massive summer. They have there people under the feet after a full year.
The real business needs to start straight after that Spurs game.
Are there ambitions to ellevate this club to the next level and really support the manager (Moyes or someone different)
Or are they just blag merchants, seeing an opportunity to commercially rinse the club and it's fanbase.
Either way, I think we'll get a much better idea over the next two months.

What the fuck are this lot doing? Tarks, Keane, Mykolenko all renewing contracts?
What’s the point of a sugar-daddy if you can’t suck him off for a few decent signings?

It's a constant reset so we cant clear the squad players. We still need everything we needed last summer. We dont have chance to clear the rot out of the squad too

This is why I think it’s time to say goodbye to Moyes. And early.
CLOSE SEASON...

People debating what the Friedkins ambitions are and what they are going to do in the close season.....
I think this close season will be decisive in showing what they're ambitions and future plans are for Everton FC..
Will they pump money in for "better quality signings than we've seen ?"
Will they move Moyes out/upstairs ?
Will they go for a more ambitious manager more akin to todays style of play: your Irialo's, Glasners Hurtzler Le Bris etc...
Will they move the deadwood players out...
Will they settle for mediocrity ? Which is where we're at now...!
Or do nothing ?
If they want the confidence of the fanbase it will be interesting to see their decision/choices....

The answers to these questions is the most important thing to our club right now.

Doubt Andy Burnham would give a fuck where the money comes from, nor should he.

This “happily dissatisfied” quote really getting hammered in the end of season pods. To think that we were above Sunderland that day when Kinnear said it in the program notes, when we’d essentially waved the white flag on Europe - only for Sunderland to get there ahead of us. I keep getting new waves of anger over it
A proper Kenrightism that really makes me worry about the ambition of those in charge.
Should really have be a seperate thread for our board and Kinnear as the Freidkins aren’t really involved in the day-to-day running of the club. Has Dan even been to the stadium this season? Been a regular at Roma games.
