Re: General Transfer Thread

Not sure I agree on the pace comment, he’s absolutely rapid - like up there with the quickest wingers in the league He's quick but it's a slightly weird quickness imo, can't work out if it's that initial burst isn't quite there but he doesn't get away from a defender the way an absolutely top playe...

Re: General Transfer Thread

Gordon has become a good player but it doesn't feel like he has another level to go to, he's pretty much at his ceiling imo. 20 goal contributions is really good don't get me wrong, but he lacks the extra burst of pace or trickery to really go on to be a £100m player. Reminds me of the level Bowen i...

Re: Amadou Onana

It’s not that he doesn’t the receive the ball often enough, he does that very well and turns to pass forward - but it’s not his job to make the killer pass to the forward that you seem to be expecting. It’s his job to receive, resist pressure and pass through the lines to the next player and he alr...

Re: Amadou Onana

It is tactics though, whenever you watch us he looks more comfortable than anybody else on the ball but he’s not a dribbler or somebody going to put the ball in from 30 yards so he can’t excel in a solo way. You could put Busquets or Rodri in our midfield and they would look similar, it’s not made ...

Re: 777 Partners Takeover

Surely if it’s unsecured debt it dies with them if they go bust couldn’t make this stuff up I thought that but someone corrected me on here and I googled it to check... Someone else buys the debt and we still pay. I think the only difference is maybe 777 sell the debt for less than it's worth, but ...

Re: Amadou Onana

Think the 'it's all Dyche's / the tactics fault' is a pretty lazy shout tbh (risky using lazy I know 😅). He could impose himself on the game a whole lot more and that's on him and no one else. Now that might be attitude, it might be experience, who knows... but the system and manager aren't preventi...

Re: Today's Football 2023-24

Ange is another manager who only has one way of playing and it'll cost him long term. There's managers at less than half a dozen clubs that can have an extremely rigid philosophy and afford the players required to make it work successfully... and he's not at one of those clubs.

For me the season finished against Sheffield UTD, this is just some weird end of season friendly where we will be battered and it'll mean absolutely nothing

Re: Pickford

If, and I mean if we had to sell, we have a 'great so far' as second choice. Jao won't stay around if he thinks it's never I think we have to extremely cautious with how we replace Pickford if indeed we need to. Look at Leicester who let Schmeichel leave and replaced with a decent Championship stan...

Re: Amadou Onana

Think people were fed up with him, dyche's comments on him 'saying he was not ok to play' and the pen was probably the nail in the coffin Are you talking about on here or socials though? I feel on here almost everyone says he's clearly talented, does some stuff well, is better than Garner, will go ...

Re: Amadou Onana

Do people compare Onana and Garner on socials? I don't go on X / Twitter but constantly on here see people talk about both in the same point a lot (I've done it too but only in response to this). Just find it confusing as they're very different players who cost vastly different sums and have very di...

Re: James Tarkowski

Yeah it's fair to say there's some variation to how we defend and where we set our defensive line. So to amend my earlier comment about Tarks being a very good low block defender, I'll say he's a very good penalty area defender. I never feel comfortable with too much space in behind him (and neithe...
