What would Brighton Hove Albion do?

Not going to argue it at all, I'm not even against the signing, I would just like to see more of him and hope he can build on the flashes.

I don't know what I think yet he's got obvious ability though and the price makes sense, you can't knock back the sort of deals

Yeah, and Blue Bill always said other clubs would ask “what would Everton do”!

Everton will pay €18M for the Argentinian Midfielder

Every time Moyes is asked about Alcaraz signing permanently he's very non committal so I'm wondering if this information wasn't as accurate as it seemed at the time?

Could just be that he is playing it down until it just gets made official as I'd imagine that won't happen until after June 1st.

Moyes was always one to keep his powder dry wasnt he.

We could have a striker we signed training with the first team and he would still be coy on him signing.

Whilst there'll be clauses to mandate a purchase, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that there are clauses to negate one?

This, along with TFG (apparently) are also a group that keep their cards close to their chest.

Media didn't have a sniff about Mourinho and all of a sudden boom he was appointed at Roma.

Don't think I'm worried here, think he will sign, it's just when we can officially announce it.

Besides, remember the Fernandez fiasco? Pictured on the official site holding up a shirt, I went to bed happy only to wake up the following morning with him holding up a Valencia shirt.

Always best to play stuff like this down in my opinion just incase.

Unless we are trying to avoid the clause (needs 5 more starts to make it obligatory), it is starting to get pointless not to start him.

We are very close to being mathematically safe for the season. We need to be trying to figure out the future for our club and players. Doesn’t make sense to keep playing Doucs over him.

Pretty sure Moyes said or at least hinted that there’d be no contract talks until we were guaranteed safety

Some of that will be the way we play and him coming on when games are dead, like at the weekend, but he definitely isn't the finished article and ready to come in and rip up trees week in week out.
