Re: Big Bad Broja
At least we have a clear winner in the "Prophetic Thread Title of the Year" competition.
Re: Big Bad Broja
Cheap at the price for the slot to be free again - if we get a different player in from Chelsea that isn’t on everyone’s list then maybe there’s a deal to be done there on that fee anywayFree Agent wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 3:55 pm Chelsea want the full fee of the loan if we send him back![]()
Big Bad Broja

Re: January transfer window

Big Bad Broja
Easy solution, if we're paying the fee and wages then he trains and plays. If his injury gets worse as a result that's not really our problem. I'm sure they'll soon reconsider when he's doing a solo bleep test at Finch Farm and playing 90 mins for the under 23s!
Re: January transfer window
i would of expected to have a clause in the loan that we could send him back if he was injured but this deal was done under moshiri so its to be expected we didnt bother i guess
Re: Big Bad Broja
id imagine we would get sued by both player and club if we didAjaxAndy wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 7:27 pm Easy solution, if we're paying the fee and wages then he trains and plays. Re: Big Bad Broja
To be fair I'm not sure we should get our money back because he's got injured playing for us. Its not like Chelsea can use him now. It seems fair that we pay what we agreed
Re: Big Bad Broja
i mean in terms of we could have inserted a clause that if he cant stay fit we can send him back, he came to us injured and has a horrible injury record,777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 7:35 pm To be fair I'm not sure we should get our money back because he's got injured playing for us. just seems wild that we wouldnt include that in the terms, unless we agreed a really low fee and % of wages but i have no idea what we agreed to pay
Re: Big Bad Broja
Just get rid. If Broja's wages cripples us then we've got bigger problems than we thought.
Re: Big Bad Broja
Where's it come from that they want the full fee?
I'd be surprised that's the case but even if it is it's dead money if we keep him so we might as well swallow the cost and free up a loan. Having him here injured doing nothing could be far more costly than being able to get someone in who could potentially be the difference between staying up or going down. Chances are he's out for the season anyway, 10-12 weeks could easily become the rest of the season by the time he recovers then gets match fit. Just write it off and move on.
