Iliman Ndiaye
Re: Iliman Ndiaye
It's going to be bad.
Not unusual that he'd be on crutches and in a brace today though.

Don't be daft, he'd have been worshipped. Massive cunt, excellent player. The type everyone wants on their side (sub the racism of course).Toddacelli wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2025 4:09 pm As good a player as he was, if we’d have signed him I would have stopped supporting us until he was gone.

I think they've come a long way with rehab and recovery on these sorts of things. So I think he'll be back fine, the concern if it's a long one is just how long it might be.
Re: Iliman Ndiaye
A brace and crutches means nothing at the moment. That just protects the injury and gets him off of it until it starts healing.

Re: Iliman Ndiaye
moyes just said its a medial ligament injury, def weeks, doesnt look great were his words
Re: Iliman Ndiaye
A mild MCL tear usually heals in 1–3 weeks
A moderate MCL tear usually heals in 4–6 weeks with treatment
A severe MCL tear can take 6 weeks or more to heal with treatment
from what hes said I would guess its one of the first 2

Re: Iliman Ndiaye
At least its not the ACL but it will be a while before we see him again. Such a shame as he has been our most important attacking threat. Not possible to replace in our current situation. McNeil being out at the same time doesn't exactly help. We really are completely threadbare now.

Re: Iliman Ndiaye
Honestly as long as he comes back the same player I'm not overly upset if he's out for 6 weeks or more. We've been here too many times where a good or promising player gets crocked and doesn't come back the same that I'd take him being out for the rest of the season if it meant he came back as good.
We're safe, it's disappointing he's going to be out but thankfully we don't actually need him really even if it costs us a few places in the table when the season is over.

Medial ligament will be fine. We will hopefully see him before the end of the season.
Re: Iliman Ndiaye
If it's 6 weeks until he's back and ready to play he'd be back for the derby at Anfield on April 2.
Only missing 5 matches. I think with us being safe we can be cautious to ensure he comes back fit and ready.

Sort of a shame that Harrison Armstrong went out on loan as he would have probably got some time with our injuries building up

I think we have a recall option, don’t we?StirlingBlue wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 7:01 pm Sort of a shame that Harrison Armstrong went out on loan as he would have probably got some time with our injuries building up
