Re: David Moyes
I’d like him to start using a bit more of the squad with the end of the season in sight, particularly if we lose a few more.
Patterson so we can see JOB in the middle, Dibling so we don’t have to see so much of McNeil, Röhl and Iroegbunam to see how they look alongside Garner, and even Aznou, because we have to start looking beyond Mykolenko next season.

LB is my main. We can not be starting the season with Mykolenko again. Tragic player

Re: David Moyes
Moyes won’t do that and gamble, especially when there is still quite a bit to play for and the difference between 10th and 6th is one point.sam of the south wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2026 9:02 pm I’d like him to start using a bit more of the squad with the end of the season in sight, particularly if we lose a few more.

Re: David Moyes
Yeah exactly, that would only potentially happen if we were out of the running for a European spot. Unless that happens he'll rightly play the experienced players.toffee_scot wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2026 10:49 pm Moyes won’t do that and gamble, especially when there is still quite a bit to play for and the difference between 10th and 6th is one point.

Re: David Moyes
Moyes won’t experiment it will be Keane in for Jared and the season will just peter out can’t believe as a former Center half himself that we are conceding so much from corners no set piece coach because he wants control over everything he needs to modernise and learn to trust others
Re: David Moyes
We wont be anyway, doesnt look like hes getting a new deal.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2026 9:05 pm LB is my main. We can not be starting the season with Mykolenko again. Tragic player

Re: David Moyes
I think even if we were out of the running for Europe, Moyes would want us to finish as high up the table as possible (prize money helping with transfer budget) so we would likely continue to be cautious with Rohl, Dibling, Patterson and Aznou continuing to make up the numbers unless he had no other choice
Re: David Moyes
Hes just out of contract isnt he and surely if he was staying especially at his age we would have offered him a deal.
Just putting 2 and 2 together.

Re: David Moyes
Honestly I think without Moyes we would be fighting relegation. Yes he's a safe manager but this squad of players is one of the worst we've had for a while.
Go and look at Forest, West Ham and Spurs squads, then look at ours. We're lucky Moyes is in charge this year.
*No right back.
*1 left back who's average at best. Absolute best.
*1 good CB who's never fit. 2 are Keane and Tarkowski.
*a 93 year old who starts almost every week in CM.
*our only natural RW is a £40 million flop who is probably shit.
*2 reasonably expensive strikers who are both average at best but moving towards shit.
Look at those holes!
They're not even holes, they're craters!!

Re: David Moyes
I would be pretty amazed if we didn't extend his current contract.
It's easy to get frustrated with Moyes at times, but overall you can't knock the change in expectations he's brought this season. Easy to forget in all this that along with the new signings, he's also had the stadium change which is often never a seamless switch and another thing to adjust to.
It's now about whether we can finish the season strongly in these last few games and build on that as it can help set the tone for the summer.

Re: David Moyes
I think Moyes longer term is a must, but also on the condition he gets some of the players he wants and some for the future that he'll actually play.
I don't want to see people like Soucek coming in because they're 'Moyes' players and promising youngsters overlooked instead, or not played if we already have them.
I nice mix of both progresses us now but also allows us not to end up in the mess West Ham did when he left.
