Re: January Transfer Window
I'm actually quite happy to see the apparent demise of the transfer window in general.
Re: January Transfer Window
Me too.
It’s been out of control for the last couple of years.
Happy to see the market settle down.

Re: January Transfer Window
I’m a little surprised that Chermiti hasn’t been sent out on loan as he barely gets much playing time here and is behind DCL and Beto.
Unless he is there if there’s an injury crisis.

Re: January Transfer Window
I wouldn't be that pissed off if he got a bit more playing time, can't be any worse than the other two shitehawks up front

Re: January Transfer Window
I quite liked bolasie that first season. He was creating stuff every week. It was a mixed bag of good and awful but he was a threat
Re: January Transfer Window
Yeah, in fairness to Bolasie he probably would have been alright if not for that horror injury.
Re: January Transfer Window
Yeah his link up with Lukaku before his injury was sound
He wasn't that bad as a player, but the deal we gave him and what we paid for him was bad.

Re: January Transfer Window
Palace seem to have a conveyor belt of these wingers.
He didn't take that hit and we wouldnt be putting him in the Schneiderlins/sigurdsson bracket of wasted money

Re: January Transfer Window
Wow, I remember him putting plenty of chances on a platter for Lukaku but had no idea the underlying per 90 numbers were that good. I’m surprised he was included in that graph with only 14 appearances though.
He was an odd one. Put him in a situation where you’d expect a decent winger to put a good ball in and there’s a higher than average chance he gets it wrong. Put him in a situation where it looks like he has no other options but to lay it off or lose the ball and he might actually beat his man and set up a big chance. He was a real trick-or-treat player.
It was a fundamentally poor idea to sign him but he may well have been even value for the money if he hadn’t gotten hurt so soon and lost so much of the strength and explosiveness that made him a handful for defenders.
