Scottish Football
Re: Scottish Football
Really happy to see Aberdeen doing well.
But is the team good or is it Thelin waving his magic wand again? Would love to hear the opinion of someone who's following Scottish football.

I don't really follow it closely enough but I think the general feeling is that every now and then a team mounts a challenge but it usually peters out into the new year, but it does feel a little different with Aberdeen this year and it's an amazing run they're on.

Re: Scottish Football
Genuinely baffling how some fans still think he could manage us in the PL. You read some Everton sites on Facebook and if it was up to them Connor Coady would be here as club captain with Ferguson managing us. It's amazing what chinning a couple of burglars and a good Jimmy Bullard story can do for your status at a club. At least Kenwright's not still here to crowbar him back into a coaching roll at the club.
Re: Scottish Football
Big cup game here tonight, Threave Rovers the local team here are playing Stranraer in the Scottish Cup so a local derby and a bit of a money spinner for Threave, I think the game's sold out and it's also on BBC Scotland. Stranraer are struggling a bit but they're still about 4 levels above Threave so it'll still be a tough game.
Little bit of a back story as well, Charlie Watson who plays for Threave is 19 and was diagnosed with stage 4 skin cancer last year but is still playing so it's added a bit more "magic of the cup" to it.

Re: Scottish Football
Potential cup upset on! Threave 1 Stranraer 0 at half time and fully deserved.
Re: Scottish Football
Fucksake, 2-3 Stranraer win in the 95th minute. Threave down to 10 men for the last few minutes after young Charlie Watson the lad with cancer stuck the nut in a Stranraer player, not the cup story he wanted.
Should have cashed out when it was at £85.

Re: Scottish Football
Aberdeen's amazing season continues, beat Rangers 2-1 tonight and are now 9 ahead of them with Celtic.
Re: Scottish Football
The only issue being they've had an unbelievable start and they're not even top of the league, you wonder how long a club not called Celtic/Rangers can sustain that.
Re: Scottish Football
Yeah, I said before it sometimes happens, a club gives the Old Firm a run for their money then fall away as the season goes on. It does feel a wee bit different this year but I'd still expect them to have a wobble at some point and Celtic to clear off. They've a great chance of finishing second though.

Re: Scottish Football
Amazing start to the season, always fantastic to beat Rangers.
Just annoying that Celtic can’t drop points but if you told me at the beginning of the season Aberdeen would have 28 points and be 9 points ahead of Rangers…
