Not good enough, I'm afraid.
I remember the comments from a non hostile Leeds fan when we first signed him on loan.
Was along the lines of 'has a great game every now and again but then doesn't do much else for a while'.
Pretty much spot on tbh.

He'd be worth it as a squad player on a free and cheap wages, but he won't be free, so there's not really a discussion to have.
He hasn't delivered anywhere near enough to justify spending actual money on, there's other players out there that can contribute much more than Jack.

Only thing I would say in his favour, just to offer a counter point is potentially another loan, depending on how the summer goes. Moyes will want to maintain the overall workrate across the middle and I suspect he likes the extra mobility Harrison brings without the ball, playing in front of JOB, for certain opponents.

As long as he's not a starter as much as he has been, I think Alcaraz's payment on how many games he can play before the payment trigger has forced our hand somewhat but there is no way he should be starting before McNeill, N'Daiye and Alcaraz

I’d rather not waste another domestic loan slot on players like Broja & Jack - the 3 teams going down this year have plenty of high earners they’ll be wanting to offload as well.

Nope. I agree with what you’re saying in general, but there’s still no defence for keeping Harrison. You said “players like Harrison and Doucoure” - they are not remotely like each other because Doucoure contributes. And that is why we will be looking to replace him, but if it proves too difficult in one window, he will possibly stay.

Yep, I think we're not really disagreeing, when I say players like Doucouré and Harrison I mean hopefully next season's squad players, rather than next season's first teamers (not Doucouré on his current wedge of course) Throw in Roman Dixon, Tim Iroegbunam.... The players you need for depth, gap filters and youth, with moderate output relative to cost.
If we don't sign 2 starting wingers, a minimum of one starting fullback (that can play both sides effectively, otherwise two) a CB, a central mid, and a decent striker I expect us to keep/extend players we know rather than discard and try new middling players we don't. I don't think we'll keep DCL or Keane.

There are examples of players that have found a new lease on life but I don't want to buy someone or take up a loan on the off chance that happens with someone who's on the Keane end of the mental fortitude rankings.

I’ve had my head in my hands as much as anyone with the way he’s played this season but we go into the summer with only Ndiaye as a natural wide player in the squad without him and lots of people on her would debate if Ndiaye even is a winger. I honestly don’t think he’s here next season but to say he wouldn’t make a decent squad player of the financials are right, given that we have a ‘rebuild’ thread, is ridiculous ’unveil Mbappe’ level delusion. Get real.
Are we going to buy 3 wingers? No. We’ll probably get one if that and maybe a kid who’s miles off. Lindstrøm is not better for the record and it’s also debatable if he is a wide man. He isn’t btw.

If you want to improve your squad, you don't keep players in it who haven't. Lindstrom the same... maybe he's not in his best position... but who's getting dropped for him, when they are better already

Agreed. You can be a squad player and still contribute. I want my squad players to have 2-5 assists and 1-2 goals by the end of the season. Otherwise what are they for?

Leeds potentially coming up could change things.
Personally wouldn't take him at all unless at a push on a free.
You're right, we need a squad but good lord he's awful.
