Re: Jack Harrison
Comparing him to the other players today. Nothing to do with our standards. He was 1 of our better players in a very good away win. We don't have to complain about him regardless of performance
He's been 1 of our better signings in recent years. Granted though it's a low bar

Re: Jack Harrison
2 years for no fee. Could name 20 infinitely worse no problem
We've had some awful times recently. Been close to relegation and maybe even worse. Singed lots who cost a bomb and didn't contribute. Employed lots of awful managers. Anyone that made a reasonable contribution for their cost has helped us survive.
Re: Jack Harrison
He isn’t a good signing just because he was on loan.
We still had to pay decent wages and a loan fee I imagine for very little return.
Saying he’s been one of our better signings stinks of attention seeking.

Re: Jack Harrison
There was no loan fee. We got him on a free for 2 years when we were desperate. He absolutely is 1 of our better signings.
I imagine I could name 20 or even 30 worse off the top of my head from moshiri era.
Re: Jack Harrison
Conor coady and Jesper lindstrom are some of our best signings according to your logic.777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 10:33 pm There was no loan fee. We got him on a free for 2 years when we were desperate. He absolutely is 1 of our better signings.

You still have to produce something. Harrison, unfortunately hasn’t.
He’s been a poor player for us so can’t be considered a good signing in any sense.
Re: Jack Harrison
It's a simple output vs cost analysis.
On that basis it's completely fine. No risk.
He's started most matches he's been here, keeping others on the bench, better people than us know why.

Re: Jack Harrison
Hes comfortably in the top half of our recent signings and I'm really not sure what lindstrom has produced.

Not sure what Harrison has done to be considered one of our better signings in the Moshiri era?777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 10:45 pm Hes comfortably in the top half of our recent signings and I'm really not sure what lindstrom has produced.
As I say, feels like you’re being controversial for the sake of it.
Re: Jack Harrison
Think for the most part he's been played in his non-favoured position, and never to his strengths.
I'm not saying he's a world beater either, just that he's been available, has been given a specific job for the past two seasons that don't highlight his qualities, and we've not yet really seen him play in his favoured position. He's obviously got confidence issues.
Personally I think hes best suited close to the striker, can press, and can deliver a ball twice as good as Doucouré can.
It's not worked out for him, but then hopefully it's obvious he's taking one for the team each week when he's played as a defensive winger who never has an overlapping full back...
Maybe Moyes can continue to get a bit more out of him in this altered style.

Re: Jack Harrison
I appreciate any player over these last nervy seasons who have shown up and dug in when needed to keep us up as that is what was asked of them a lot of the time. Quality hasn't often been in abundance in this squad, but a lot of them have tried hard I feel including Harrison. It can't have been easy in that dressing room at times I imagine with some of the runs we went on and the style of football we were playing.
I expect we'll part ways with him this summer but he seems a likeable guy and that's about where my feelings end on it.

Re: Jack Harrison
Would say even somebody like Aaron Lennon was a lot better than Harrison has been.
Walcott certainly was, Bernard, even bolasie before his injury was better than Harrison.
