Liverpool being bellends

Might have a point if Saka and Odegaard hadn't spent half the season injuredCozzie wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 5:15 pm Kopite in my what's app group saying that due to Arsenal's 3-0 win last night it puts paid to the myth that the Premier league hasn't been "competitive" this year.
Basing this on a one off knockout game.
They're fucking desperate for this title win to be taken seriously aren't they?
Re: Liverpool being bellends
Would imagine they've both rinsed the club. Handing a 33 year old and 34 year old new contracts on mega money isn't good business.
They don't really have a choice with Salah though, they'll fall apart without him.
Would have jibbed the best CB in the history of football though.

Absolutely with you here. Re-signing VVD on big money is something I'm happy for them to do and if it's multiple years, even better. Past his best without a doubt.Shogun wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 6:24 pm Would imagine they've both rinsed the club. Salah, less pleased. Still a top quality performer with no imminent signs of a drop off and any replacement I can think of would be a downgrade to varying degrees.

Salah relies a surprising amount on his physical ability.
It could be weeks away, it could be years away but I think he’ll have a steep decline when it begins

Re: Liverpool being bellends
Oh undoubtedly, he's not going to be doing this into his 40s but nothing suggests he won't do it next season and if he signs for 2/3 years they can get rid after 1/2 and someone like the Saudis will pay through the nose for his name even if his legs have gone.StirlingBlue wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 8:12 pm Salah relies a surprising amount on his physical ability.

I was thinking the same, been an absolute ghost this past month or so. Not sure he can perform for a whole season any more.

Had nothing to play for

Put it this way I think they could have won the league this year without VVD. Don't think they would have without Salah.

Re: Liverpool being bellends
Gutted tbh , wanted the massive fume and having to find 3 replacements in a summer, can bide there time now , even a drop off in Salah and a past his best VVD ( better than anyone else at the club). Just his presence, but he's over rated for sure. They are just never injured , If they had no VVD relying on players like Konte, Quanash, Gomez , they'd have needed Salah to be scoring every game.

Old people's home FC.
VvD has been finished since that Pickford tackle.

Need to know what their wages will be, I'll laugh my cock off if it's similar/more than they're both currently on
