That was by far my favourite Villa team of all time.

Your probably too young Cannock, but myself and a few of the oldies on here can remember Villa playing in the old 3rd division in the early 70's

I've spoken to a few Villa fans who remember those days and even then they were getting twice as many fans as Man United and Arsenal put together at every home game and took at least 30,000 away to every game, even a pre season friendly in Hobart on a Thursday morning...
In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.

Well you know what you did wrong there, don’t you…?

Rumours he's off the middle east at the end of this season.
Be a big miss, midfield needs a rebuild.

If thats the case, might be better to sell him on Jan 1st since he’ll be off to the AFCON anyway

Mad he's come back and we rely on him again, he'll be missed but we need to rethink what we are doing

Says it all when he's our main goal threat with wayward Exocet missiles from outside the box.

He must be one of our top scorers over the last 15 games.

Shows how bad we are at creating chances doesn't it.
Moment I saw him have that shot on the stroke of half time after us having the ball for 10 mins I thought...ah nevermind then.

One in the last 15 league games, Arsenal last game of last season. Probably still puts him about 4th top scorer though.

Completed 35 out of 37 passes at the weekend whilst getting two assists.
Just one example of a player who showed how good he can be on the ball when given the opportunity.
Phenomenal player.
