I think now that he’s staying at least until the summer he will still get plenty of minutes here. Does seem to make a lot more sense to play him on the left where he is more comfortable though

Right decision imo, better players and more options will be available in the summer... We all know what we need and the chances of getting it right long term increase massively by doing our business then.

All the more reason to completely nail the signings for these positions though imo.

I'd rather get a really good player for each side that genuinely takes us forward as a team for the long term than pick from limited options and not address the issues as well as would otherwise.

I agree it's a hard watch at times but a bit more short term pain for long term gain is acceptable to me.

Fair but they had that chance last summer as well and completely blew it. It'd be different if we had a competent fullback that got injured for the rest of the seaosn but it's not like they haven't had the chances to properly find one. If I'm Moyes then I'm not sure I'd have much faith in that being addressed in the summer after the mess the made of the last summer.

In a world where Fulham and Brentford are currently favourites for a European position then I'm not sure waiting for the summer is the best move. Wasted opportunity imo.

Genuinely a little amazed we couldn’t even find a loan or loan to buy for the fullback situation. Got to have been some players looking to get more time ahead of the World Cup.

Given the league as it is, this season is a good opportunity. Teams like Spurs and Newcastle will eventually spend enough to correct themselves and it becomes an even tougher job to get into the European places given the even bigger clubs who usually dominate are going to be taking up most of the available spaces.

We've got 2 domestic loans now so I'm guessing that reduced the number of available full backs who were both achievable on loan and also good enough to hit the ground running.

Not a lot to be gained loaning a sub standard full back who would take 6 months to get up to speed with the league.

Net spend is our signings in against our signings out.
so basically we’ve spent £14m more than we brought in.

I don't think its this part she's confused about, its the other part where a club can spend massively without repercussion yet Everton can't.
