Wilson PL 143 G 27 A14 = 0.29 G/A per game B'mouth, Fulham age 28

The injury aside, people were open to signing a soon to be 31 Grealish at the end of the season, at a decent price on god knows what wages (I was one of them, not sure now). Wilson's attacking stats are comparable in a lot worse teams. He got 7 goals and and 2 assists in a relegated Bourmouth team on loan, his one season there.

And just because I am avoiding work as is tradition on deadline day.. comparative international stats... obviously England higher ranked in general.

Grealish INT 39 G 4 A 6 = 0.26 G/A per game.
Wilson INT 67 G 17 A 12 =0.43 G/A per game.
Set pieces and shots make a massive difference to these stats though, Grealish has never taken on many shots or taken set pieces.

On a free in the summer it would be great squad depth and offer a challenge for first team places, whilst letting us sell McNeil.

No point trying to tempt Fulham with an overpaid offer now though, he's not going to make enough of a difference to justify it.
I'd love us to sign someone reliant on pace. Not even necessarily reliant on it, just capable of doing 50m in less than 3 working days.

You haven't got any contacts in Italy, Al.

Reading Gazzetta dello Sport online doesn't count as a contact.

Daniel James is reliant on pace, can’t do anything else but he runs dead fast.

Which we are doing with Tyrique George - but you can't have a full squad of just tricky speedsters

Hence "not even necessarily reliant".

Think we're some way from having a squad full!

Just one or two would be nice. We are easily pleased.

Be buggered if I am breaking down Wilson's G/As by open play or set piece :D

Either way if he has that in his locker too, its not a bad thing.

It’s money spent when other areas are more pressing, we’re pretty well off for midfielders as it is.

Fair enough, its all theoretical anyway, Fulham are happy to run his contract down.

May I suggest: "Everton that."

Matt1878 wrote: Mon Feb 02, 2026 1:18 pm Not sure if @brap2 comment was suggesting Wilson was an average winger... or we have currently average wingers, who would benefit from Harry Wilson.

Brap gonna Brap I guess. I assume the former but the latter is true enough.

Anyway, either way Wilson is class, 8 goals 4 assists this season, 30 goals in a 150 games for a limited Fulham side and 67 gams and 17 goals for Wales.

So a proven 1 in 5 goalscoring winger/attacking midfielder for club, 1 in 4 for country, with great assist stats too. 6 months on his contract, so the possibility of a knock down price, to temper the currently 28 year age.

Not to sniffed at by any means. Iwobi is a similar age, Braps a fan isnt he. How does he measure up? :D
Not exactly a coded message mate.

He is a goal threat and he puts assists up as well to be fair to him. I don’t know if this year, the year he turns 29, with less than a year left on his contract, is the year of judge him on personally?

I know you are just being flippant but yeah he is more of a threat than iwobi. More of a threat than ndiaye and grealish as well, but he doesn’t come near any of those players in terms of overall quality.

He’s also slow.

Over his career he’s averaged something like 4.5 goals a season, 2/3 assists.

I mean, wow. What are we fucking waiting for guys let’s snap him up before he turns 30 and is essentially just a drain on our wages while we desperately try and kick on?
