Goes on the piss in the middle of the season and then has a virus for today's game? Hmmmmm.
I think Moyes told him to have a week off as he wouldn’t be needed for Burnley.

That thought crossed my mind too.

Moyes knows exactly what’s he’s doing with this response.
It’s great.
Hope it’s old school, go out on the town if you want but you owe us when you’re back in the team.

He's just cost us 2 point by being out on the lash then. Not on really for a 30 year old PL footballer in 2025, is it?
When we're without KDH and Ndiaye then he's needed more than ever. Very selfish behaviour. Let his teammates down big time.
And most importantly let me down by forcing me to watch Dwight McNeil for 90 minutes.

Don’t care whether he had a bug or the mother of all hangovers, he’s supposed to be an elite athlete, a PROFESSIONAL footballer on £300 grand a week there is simply no justification for trashing your body in the midst of the busiest week of the season whilst your team are missing three of their best most influential players. He’s not a 19 year old kid, he’s a 30year old that should know better.

Should but he doesn't and never will, hence why he's at Everton.

In his defence no one has a 5-6 day hangover. He is allowed to live his life.

I don't think he was still hungover yesterday but it sounds like he probably was when he turned up for training on Tuesday and Moyes has dropped him for the game. But if you go out on the lash over the festive period when flu is rife across the country then you always run the risk of catching something. Not the best idea when the squad is already on the bones of it's arse.
We were told earlier in this thread not to worry about this side of him though, so we'll just need to accept that for whatever reason he wasn't available today but it was probably due to his own actions.

It’s all gone a bit tabloidy in here. Went out nearly a week before the game. Went out with his missus. Did not break any club rules while out.
Nothing to see here but his impressive column inches.

Took his Mrs to a strip club?
