Come on, he can play at any level? The lad's 29 and playing for a newly promoted Championship club having spent the last two years in Saudi. Bring him back and I'll question where the club's ambitions lie.

Not that it matters as he's not coming back anyway.

Is there much interest for any of our players?

Not that I want to push people out the door (well I'd certainly help McNeil/Beto with a lift to the airport) but unless we sell I'm not going to engage in any talk about us buying as I don't believe that we have the funds

Gray was shite. Good value for what we paid but he had moments not games. Hes not a premier league player

Gray never had the work rate to be a premier league player. Obviously talented player and could bang in the occasional worldie, but far too lazy to ever be a top division player.

I don’t care about signing anyone.

Would be nice to sign a left back for my own mental well-being more than anything but we’re fine and don’t need to rush into anything.

Yeah was listening to toffee TV and they were saying he better have targets ready to go on Jan 1st and I just sort of thought...why? What's the point really, push the boat out and get 9th or something?

That said I do think Moyes is keen to 'not miss the opportunity' as he put it in his post match, and would relish getting back into European competition in his first full season.

The league is so poor that I wouldn't count out a European challenge at this point. We were 5th last week and that's with most people saying we have some glaring issues in the squad.

I know but freak results really rather than being any good. We're like 4th worst in xg against, can't really carry on can it.

You are right though, few more freak results and we are in the mix. And yeah I suppose if we throw the kitchen sink at it and get some bodies in we could get Europe. Would be a fantastic result for the season I suppose

Think we could get Europe with no additions.

Will be a tough few weeks, but once we get arsenal out the way our fixtures turn really nicely.

No need to push for anything that doesn’t make sense.

Could see us going in for the likes of Lewis-Skelly or Rico Lewis on loan but I don’t see us doesn’t anything substantial and that’s fine.

Those two will be kept around their clubs for squad depth
