Way too good.
Played every minute in a season we finished 6th didn’t he?
Yeah I'm probably misremembering but in my mind he was capable of looking imperious one minute to being barely able to kick a football properly the next, and when you evened it all out that made him decent. There was just that touch of him always looking like he was on the verge of falling over the ball and being a little bit out of control.
I actually really liked him tbf, even after he gave away that goal against Charlton by stopping to do up his laces.

There's a lot of people that would get their pitchforks and burning torches out to come and get me for this:
But Parkinson, Ebbrell and Horne weren't anything more than decent.

Strong disagree on Parkinson but agree with the others.
Parkinson was a fantastic all-round CM for us, and it's a massive shame that injury wrecked his career at such a young age.

Enner Valencia?
I thought he did ok when he was here, he didn’t score many score many goals and was essentially a backup. An alright loan but never really in the conversation for a permanent deal.

Remember when they called him Grantona. Proper of its time nickname.
Always sounded like he needed to blow his nose.
Could thread a needle our Anthony. Wand of a foot on the odd occasion it was attached to his ankle.

This list is a bit mad. Some really quite poor players on it and some of our better 1s of the last couple of decades too

Yeah, lovely player.
Really wanted him to blossom.

Joe Parkinson was the one.
He really looked like he was going to be troubling the upper echelons, didn’t it.
Felt like a Paul Bracewell situation when he got injured.

Ooh.
He grimmed me out a bit.
And Mark Pembridge.
Gemmill more talented, though.
So yeah, I think he qualified for decent.

Just so everyone is clear on the definition of decent:
“of an acceptable standard; satisfactory.”
Mediocre is another good definition for what we are looking for:
“of only average quality; not very good.”
