Not on the Mourinho bus myself but don't buy it being a disaster, just think he'd butt heads with the club and be gone after 18 months.
18 months???? You not think it would be closer to 3?

Nah, that wouldn't give him enough time to build the story. He needs quick early success, getting everyone onside and then when it begins to slide then he can start being arsey with refs and accusing the league of corruption before being paid off as we're in the SF of the Carabao Cup

You are not mixing the Everton DNA into your theorycake. Obviously THATs what happens at other clubs. With Everton, you need to remove the success part and increase the time multiplier of everything becoming chaos and untenable by a factor of 12.

Fuck it, I'm voting for Dave.

Hypothetical question, but would those dead against Mourinho be onboard if it meant a 9th placed finish and a Caraboa Cup final next season?

Not saying it'd happen and I'm 80% against getting him, but he does have the ability to potentially do something like that with us.

Final? No. Come back with a cup win and I would let anyone with a clipboard manage us.

Isn't football the craziest industry in the world? FG sack Mourinho from Roma, Mourinho slags FG off after leaving, FG hires Mourinho at newly acquired club.

Imagine transposing this to your line of work, with you and your employers, it simply could never happen. Apart from football.

Southgate. That's worst case of what might be realistic

It would be the dullest outcome, and I don't think Southgate would move us forward much, but I disagree it would be anything like the trainwreck Mourinho's appointment would be IMO.

Lads if you could have a top ten finish, a chance at a trophy and Sydney Sweeney to fall madly in love with you...would you take one of the most decorated managers of all time, or stick with the man averaging 0.6ppg over his last 5?

I just don't know!

How nailed on is the Sydney Sweeney thing? Because I'm still waiting for Rachel McAdams to show up and don't want to close that door entirely
