Jarrad Branthwaite
Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
So this absolute ball bag believes he's only worth £5M more than Max Kilman?
"Adopt a more realistic approach" he says.
Bell end.

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
Lots of high comedy to come in this new "Tory Jim" era. Since I don't work there, or have any affection towards the club. Trying to succeed by being the most obnoxious asshole on the block.
You'd think he was trying to show some leg to be Trump's VP.

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
If you're willing to pay someone £160k pw, you know they're worth significantly more than £45m plus add-ons.
Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
Absolutely nothing has changed here apart from the fact that we are now in a stronger financial position than when they first bid. We are now in a new financial year and don't have FFP issues to worry about.
I get a horrible feeling though that they will be back and they will pay what we want for him. I can see it settling on £65m-£70m with another £5m-£10m in add ons.
I say '"horrible feeling" because I desperately want him to stay on for another year, but once you start getting to £70m and beyond, then you have to seriously consider your position.

Yeah something like £65m with £10m of realistic add ons would be accepted I'd imagine.Gary1878 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 8:10 am Absolutely nothing has changed here apart from the fact that we are now in a stronger financial position than when they first bid. Really need to make sure any add ons aren't things like them winning the Champions etc, and more appearance based etc.

Also need it happening sooner rather than later so we aren't left in the lurch

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
Manchester United are expected to return with a third bid for Jarrad Branthwaite after Everton rejected a second offer of £45million, plus £5million in add-ons.
Everton had already turned down an initial offer of £35million and are holding out for nearer to £70million, an amount United are unwilling to meet.
However, their second refusal to the bid tabled by United on Monday night is not expected to deter a further approach. The Old Trafford club are prepared to pay the 22-year-old centre back £160,000 a week.
Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
"Alright, we know this is the third time we've said it but you're going to have to lower your valuation otherwise we're DEFINITELY not coming back with another bid. £50m, £5m add ons and 4 half price tickets for a Man United match of your choice in the Carabao Cup"
"Okay"
"So we have a deal?"
"no"

Hey now, that's a bit harsh on Tory Jim.Bob Sacamano wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 9:47 pm lol who even is this idiot. As a proper football man, Ashworth must be cringing at this posturing.
Whilst Dan has been pruning roses, Jim's been hard at work, heavily into researching the art of reasonable negotiation.
Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
I do think we're open to selling him but it'll only be for the £70m we're asking and Man United just aren't going to meet that I don't think.
The club will know another season under Dyche and his value/reputation certainly won't decrease come next summer and with another season of experience then more teams will be interested. It's the Stones situation all over again.
Man United have rather hilariously misjudged this whole saga.

Re: Jarrad Branthwaite
I cant stand United.
My mate is a united fan and was chatting to him this eve about this. The arrogance is insane.
Apparently he isn't worth over 50m.
Apparently it's always been his dream to play for United.
Apparently smaller clubs need to realise that they can't hold big clubs over a barrel when it comes to cost of players.
Apparently 'Braithwaite' is young and raw and although he had a good season last year, it’s a different kettle when it come to the big boys high expectations.
Makes me fume!!!
I told him that Branthwaite is a kopite so his dream wouldn't ever have been to play for United. The response was 'fuck him, defo don't want him now.'
