The players who were intended to step right in and play most of the minutes have been excellent.
I need a bit more time to judge the rest. We’re not going to know for another year or two whether Barry, Dibling, Aznou, and Röhl were worth it.
If we assume that 3 of those 4 are playing regularly next season and the lot that we buy this summer need a season to develop, and the same for the following summer then it will be at least 3 seasons before the majority of our signings are playing and contributing regularly.
Which requires patience that most fans (and probably David Moyes) don't have
