Yeah, at times.

Given how much Moyes likes wingers and attacking midfielders who can hold the ball up to relieve pressure, I can see the intent.

Throw in proper overlapping fullbacks (still need someone natural on the right like Maitland-Niles) and you have your most likely method of attack if we get to a level of performance where teams start parking the bus.

Two massive centre forwards to attack crosses, both of them also capable of making runs behind the defense when we have space to break.

We need to start actually completing some of these moves so the picture can properly reveal itself and we can all feel a bit better about our prospects. Armstrong, Iroegbunam, and Patterson are all playing major minutes this preseason and not one of them should be here when the dust settles on this window.

A Devon lad, his family lives 5 miles from where I was brought up. I've met his Dad before in passing a few times at the local football club.

Interesting thing with Dibling is that Chelsea snapped him up a couple of years ago from Southampton, but he didn't like it there and the transfer was reversed and he went back.

He's older now, but from what I've heard from people close to him is that he liked being near home and his support network, so a move to Liverpool would be a big move for him.

I think he's a great player and will go on to big things, but as has been said, he's not really a player for now, it at least it doesn't feel like that.

Yeah I read something from Southampton fan about him being homesick. Was pretty young though right like 16 17? Coleman worth his weight in gold for such situations, you know he will move heaven and earth to make him feel at home. Moyes and Baines too. Very excited if we can get him. If he was a French or Spanish U21 people would be all over him. Fingers crossed.

Very young. When we are looking at young wingers he is 4 years younger than McAtee so he just won't have produced what McAtee has because of his age.

It is a big gamble though. He has to play because we need him to develop but he will not be as complete as other options.

Can he take some obvious talent and turn it into consistent goals and assists? I suppose if he does he'll be worth £50m or more in a few years.

They said they wanted 100 mil for him in January, so I'd take these estimates with a grain of salt.

That said, if we're prepared to go higher do it and move on if it's still not enough. Maybe they say 40ish we meet in the middle at mid 30s with add ons and such and it works out...key is just moving on quickly if they're not willing to negotiate.

Not sure he'd be for me. Looks like he's got great potential but we need infinitely more than hes produced and at 40m it would be a major signing for us. Can see him going on to be a real quality player but we can't wait for that

Would be a very good signing regardless of us needing more.

I can’t be too thrown by that. If I was 16 and had to leave all my friends and family I probably wouldn’t love it either. He’s a PL player now so I’m sure he has matured and realized he needs to move somewhere.

Southampton fans are saying he's no intention of signing a new contract so he obviously wants a move

If you think back to what Lindstrom and Harrison offered last season I feel we could give Dibbling a year of development and it be ok.

Wouldn't be a game changer now but potentially 12 months of development could see him flourish from then on.

I get you, but the thing is I don’t think he is what we need right now, we need a right winger who can perform now not 12 months to develop and not having spent £35m to £40m on him. I think he’s maybe 12 months too early for us.

Not sure we can be spending 40m on someone who might produce similar numbers to lindstrom or Harrison in the short term. Obviously depends on what else we get and how much more we have but it appears to be a massive chunk on our budget on someone who so far has just been potential

Very good signing for a team in less desperate need for a short term boost
