I can’t even remember why it fizzled out.

Lescott left the season after he took Yobo’s starting CB slot. Jagielka was still recovering from his injury, we bought Distin and Heitinga and brought in Neill on a free.

I always thought Yobo was better than Heitinga, who I never particularly liked, but maybe that wasn’t the case in 2009-10.

Anyway, Yobo was a super player overall.
