£600m to end up with Dyche. Ouch.
January Transfer Window
Re: January Transfer Window
Yep exactly, it's fine to spend £350m over 5 years but we can't spend that over 5 years every single year.
My maths might be wrong but over a 5 year period I think that'd make for a spend of £1.7bn, and even though some would drop off each year we still in no way could afford that or stay within PSR.

Good job PSR is being binned off and we can make out our new stadium makes £500m a year in revenue…AjaxAndy wrote: ↑Wed Jan 21, 2026 8:18 am Yep exactly, it's fine to spend £350m over 5 years but we can't spend that over 5 years every single year.

Re: January Transfer Window
It's amortisation of transfer fees, salaries and contract renewals.
For 2025/2026 it most likely equates to somewhere in the region of £50-60 million spend (what's been put through the books for this period)
I'd expect more headroom next summer with the increase in commercial and television revenue.

Re: January Transfer Window
Don’t forget the extra revenue from that fourth kit too!

Re: January Transfer Window
I've half been thinking 'who gives a shit' about going into the market this Jan but with Grealish out we do need to go in. We probably would have liked a wide man anyway but you can't just have Ndiaye and McNeil for the rest of the year. You're an injury away from being completely goosed.
Hopefully dibling can step up but the problem isn't opportunity it's that whatever Moyes has demanded of him he hasn't been able to do. So sort yourself out please Tyler we need some quality on the ball asap.
Could do with KDH back as well, will see him and Charly wide too.

Moyes i know isnt the type of manager to do so, but it should be Dibling and Ndiaye now until the summer.
Mcneil has no long term future here so why give him game time.

Bournemouth replacing Semenyo with a brazilian lad called Rayan - unfortunately I guess the backroom staff at Everton has heard as little about him as I have.

Re: January Transfer Window
Mcneil worked super hard against Villa and contributed to the goal, and has been improving game to game to be fair. Still not good enough and not what we need, but I'd imagine Moyes thinks he's offering more of what he wants than Dibling.
I don't moyes will risk losing points just to give someone game time, especially if they aren't meeting his requirements.
Re: January Transfer Window
Weirdly I posted a video of him a year ago - he's been phenomenal in Brazil. Absolutely nothing like the profile of player Everton would go near.TrevorSteven wrote: ↑Wed Jan 21, 2026 1:53 pm Bournemouth replacing Semenyo with a brazilian lad called Rayan - unfortunately I guess the backroom staff at Everton has heard as little about him as I have.
