Can anyone actually remember a players plus cash deal ever coming off? I only ever remember one swap deal happening and I keep an eye out for them because it always comes up in the media but never seems to happen
Think ffp makes them much more likely now

Beto's 26, we aren't coaching him to be a decent finisher... If someone offers us £20m we need to snap their hands off and buy someone who can actually offer something.

Not keen on Lindelof.
AWB is a tricky one.
Absolute scrotum going forward but, a lot like Myko, very good at one on one defending, would give us balance.
He's had issues with his hammys though lately, which is a concern for a FB.
Much rather just take the £80M (which they will never offer) and recruit properly instead.
Could sort out a good chunk of the squad with that.
Over all though, above anything, I hope he stays.

Yeah, you don't like him, we get it. Perhaps keep that to the thread about him?
Fuck's sake.

Weirdly I did reply to the Beto thread with this comment so have no idea how it's ended up in here, certainly wasn't intended to

Nothing wrong with betos ability to finish?
This is where people's opinions on CFs seem v strange to me. He looks very dangerous...it's everything else!

Doubt Utd will match their valuation and their spiv of a part owner will moan about football being so unfair.

I think Howard Kendall went to Birmingham as part of the deal to buy Bob Latchford.

I think Archie Styles also went to Birmingham as part of the same deal

He did indeed, Howard and Archie in exchange for Bob Latchford valued at a world record fee of £350,000 !

Did David Burrows coming to us (sorry if anyone had managed to forget) have something to do with Cottee going back to West Ham?
