Let him go to spurs I say. Obviously we won't have a backup . But that's Everton

Can't see the Spurs link being true - Kudus was great on the right at the weekend, and they have Kulu when he's not injured and Johnson too. It's a 10 they need.

I'd rather we pass. Ridiculous signing for a club like ours that needs so much now. Then should it pay off they want another 25% factoring in. Silly buy for however takes him

Tottenham have made an official approach to Southampton for Tyler Dibling. Southampton are looking for at least £45M-£50M

It was dithering Dave now it's dithering committee.
Couldn't organise a village fete in the church hall.

I’ll be honest, I’ll be gutted if we don’t get him now

From the BBC article about who Spurs could go for, still made interesting reading:
“Like Eze, Dibling is a winger who can play centrally. For Southampton last season, there were games in which he stayed fairly central.
As a winger, Dibling resists pressure well from defenders on his back, getting used to being closely marked in the Premier League with pressure from behind him. He takes this quality with him when playing in midfield.
When starting centrally, he often dropped deep and towards the right side of the pitch to provide his team's defenders with an extra passing option. To find space in these situations, he would fake to run in behind, dragging a midfielder with him, before dropping deep quickly to receive the ball.
If there is the opportunity to turn with the ball, the Englishman does so and impressively avoids being tackled by riding contact well over large distances and having quick feet in small spaces.
He can be less active than others on this list when he doesn't have the ball and prefers to receive the ball to feet, rather than making runs behind a defender.
At times, Dibling would suit playing down the middle more than on the wing if he were to sign for Spurs.
Down the middle, he is able to showcase his ability to shift the ball and shoot quickly. Out wide, he can be susceptible to not quite getting the right flight on in-swinging crosses from the right flank, a method of chance creation that Frank likes to use.”

think dibling deffo going to spurs now - this is to conceal their embarrassment at being beaten by the gooners for eze
it will appease their fans
we cant compete with spurs who are in europe etc etc
that 25% sell on is an absolute non starter - whoever buys dibling is getting rinsed not once but twice
ps
still want him at everton tho lol

Far too rich for me, only potential, you don’t pay more than 25-30 million maximum.

That gets you an ordinary, late twenties journeyman in today’s market, unfortunately. Unless we look abroad, as we should a la Brighton.

I agree, we should be looking abroad.
Always a gamble, but not as big as paying for Dibling.

I just don't even think Dibling is the type of player we need. We need a direct pacey hug the touchline winger on that right side. Grealish, Ndiaye and Dibling are too similar.

Occassionally we see shouts on here that we could have 3 attacking midfielders who are all interchangeable in their positions in free flowing attacking roles - the least Everton thing I could possibly think of!
Our style is counter attacking with no pace and taking as few shots as possible and then wondering why we haven’t scored

Yeah, that would only work if we had two attacking full backs to provide width and a midfielder to sit inbetween the defence.
We have none of those.
