I want him to have one more season but if Real Madrid came in for him and paid us £80 million, I would be happy for him!

I'm not sure if it's genuine interest, or just Paddy Boyland talking about how much Carlo and Davide like him

They will drip-feed amounts until a suitable (but probably less than our valuation) fee can be agreed upon. I suspect they will start including players later on if they don't get a positive answer from us.

United have real form for this regarding us, more than most.

Shitcunt of a club.

Proper lowball stuff a lot of the time, and with their power, it often does change the market value and the narrative of players at less fashionable clubs.

Hopefully, our new owner (if all goes well) will not be so accommodating when it comes to future deals.

Yep, that would do it - us small clubs always cave in to big club demands when negotiating. FUCK OFF!

It's farcical really. What the fuck do they expect.

With the latest murmurings that our PSR hole is relatively small we shouldn't he panicking here one bit.

I think they are just using the media to put pressure on us, because you notice a lot of the stories coming out are from the United perspective not the Everton one, which suggests that it's the Man U media department pushing their stories to select journalists.

And then another component of it is Ineos trying to win over their fans by appearing like hardcore negotiators, which separates them from the previous wild and frivolous spending that Utd did in recent years. It's a form of posturing and PR, as well as trying to get the player cheaper.

I think we should bid 15m for Bruno Fernandes and threaten to walk away from the deal when they don't accept the bid.
