There'll be justification for selling a player like Armstrong in the future, if you develop an academy like Chelsea and you've got 7 or 8 of these sellable assets. So the model actually makes sense.

But when he's the only one who's come through in years, the fans love him, he's clearly massively talented and with the historical trauma of Rooney etc, it would display a fundamental misunderstanding of the fanbase to sell him.

It would make the relationship with the fans beyond repair, almost no matter what we do on the pitch in the future.

Still hopeful it won't happen, and would assume Moyes is advising very strongly against it.

A very valid opinion (like many others of a similar tone) ONLY if there is any truth whatsoever to our considering selling him, Forest can make as many offers as they want but if we are unwilling to sell then how can you conclude that the fan base now “know everything they need know” about the owners ? For all you know Friedkin might have said tell them to piss off !

It’s just not good for the lifeblood of the club.

This isn’t a Gordon situation where he needs to be sold to keep the lights on.

Cash in Ndiaye, cash in Garner. But not a potential homegrown star.
