I actually wasn't particularly relishing relegating Spurs on the final day (hubris and all that) but if this does happen then god that would hit like crack.

Bit of a joke that isn't given his situation. Just let the guy go and move on, that's clearly their plan.

They’d be crazy to hire Dyche.

Their squad has already shown that they will not respond to a disciplinarian type.

Because they can’t actually get anyone to sign up for 7 matches like they want, everyone wants longer, and they aren’t sure they want to do that

Can't see Dyches Ego accepting a short term contract.

He'll want a clause where if he keeps them up he gets 2 seasons or something. Spurs won't budge on that either.

Only because he wants the summer payoff. Having to manage a PL Spurs with their aspirations would be an absolute nightmare for Dyche. He couldn't cope with us and Forest!

Spurs seem a bit clueless given the state they're in.

Feels like dyche would be the absolute worst choice. Think they'd have 1 maybe 2 games to get some points on board and if it didnt happen they'd turn on him

I think Dyche would be able to help Spurs pick up a few points and avoid relegation.

But Spurs are negotiating from a position of weakness so I can see them reluctantly giving him an 18 month contract and then sack him after the final game with a large payout

It's the opposite for me. When we were fighting relegation over the last few years a couple of Spurs supporters used to take the piss regularly with the old "best ground in the championship" bollocks. Hope the feckers get relegated.

He was defo going to be sacked straight after the forest game but whoever it was breaking the news has been putting it off because his dad died.

I think a big underlying issue with Spurs is i get the impression that their ownership structure acts like they own a stadium that a club plays in rather than own a team with a great stadium.

Think as long as they can flog to the NFL and have Beyonce do 6 nights there they arent arsed.

Theres a lot of backlash over his Greenwood comments, I wonder if him/Spurs are prepared for how much he's going to get hounded by the press about that early doors

Done deal now per the BBC. Footballing wise, he's probably the best option they could get in terms of those who were readily available. His stats at the clubs he's managed are pretty good. He's not the Spurs legend vibes manager a lot of their fans wanted, but fans aren't always the best judge.

He's got to be an improvement on Tudor at the very least, and I'd imagine that would be a concern for those around Spurs.

Genuinely though, who knows how this goes. Maybe it's an immediate improvement like Carrick at Man Utd, do the simple stuff, put players in the right places and they pick up a couple of wins and they're safe. I saw some updates too about Madison starting to get back to light training so that also might be a big deal for them.

Conversely, the longer he goes without a win though the more the pressure will build on an apparently pretty temperamental manager and the fixtures aren't the super easiest.
