The point I’m making is I don’t think players like Dwight McNeil should be give credit for helping keep us up when it was signing players like him that got us down there in the first place.

We had a two year period where we significantly weakened our squad in near enough every area and McNeil was a part of that.

Not his fault, of course, but I look at players like McNeil as a reason why we were in trouble, not a reason why we got ourselves out of trouble.
