He may have an 'opinion' that Henderson is better. Its wrong but.... he is writing articles about it which are published.

it is his job to watch games, to compare the two. Not look at who is higher on a fucking stats table after 6 games. Madness.

Its not twitter or a footy forum, you cant just say well this is my opinion so .... do the proper research, watch and understand the game.

If i was Pickford, i would tell them all to fuck themselves, have a summer off and watch us go out in the groups.

Good job he is a professional sports person though and has more determination. But the lack of respect is astonishing. i dont understand.
Simple answer is……he doesn’t give a shit what they say….only person whose opinion counts is the managers….he’ll only be arsed if touchel stops picking him..

Good on him. 8 successive shut outs.

He's the man.

No he's not, he's shite and a very naughty boy. Or he's lucky, or he's playing against shite, or he's playing behind a great defence. But mostly, he's shite.

And has small arms.

I was thinking, far better to be under appreciated while you are playing anyway, keeps that fire in your belly, rather than being lauded beyond what you have ever actually achieved.

I think in time Pickford will be seen as not only one of the best keepers to wear the England shirt but one of the key players in the only era of consitently reaching finals and going deep in tournaments, that will probably put to shame the golden generation of quarter finalists that came before them. Once he retires and the BBC HYS zombie apocalypse moves on to its next target, I think his legacy as Engalnd's no1 will be really respected. He's performed as the best England keeper since Banks, dont give a fuck what anyone else says and I really hope that will become accepted.

You forgot that he’s mad and or emotional and makes crazy decisions that could lead to goals (although the stats say none of them have but you can’t believe anything the stats say).

Very much reluctant and begrudged acknowledgement of Pickford in the Sunday Times.

Jordan Pickford has just taken Gordon Banks's record of consecutive clean sheets for England, seven becoming eight. Except Banks's seven were against Yugoslavia, Finland, Poland,
Uruguay, Mexico, France and Argentina — the last four in the World Cup finals — and Pickford's eight are Greece, Ireland, Albania, Latvia, Andorra, Andorra, Serbia and Wales, two Nations League group B games, five World Cup qualifiers and a friendly. And Pickford's a good goalkeeper. But Banks never once played the likes of Andorra, Albania and Latvia – even Ireland – in a decade of international football.

Not even hiding their bias these days, it’s just funny to me now.

If he played for United or Spurs, let alone the rs, the media love-in for him would be enormous.

Honestly he should fuck them off, couldn't be less arsed about England myself. Rather they lose.

I think that's only part of the picture, another is that he doesn't offer any stories to the media. They are forced to write about what he does on the pitch cos there's nowt else that can be written about him. And the media absolutely hate him for it.

The "Early and personal life" section of his wikipedia is literally just two paragraphs, the first lists his birth name and where he went to school, the second one is about how he married his long-term girlfriend in 2020 and had a son in 2019.

Apparently Lee Dixon has made some comment about Pickford not going to a big club.

Fair, enough, might wind some people up of they want it to but why would the club even bother responding to it. It's a bit embarrassing in my opnion, Facebook post stated 'FAO Lee Dixon and anyone else who need to hear it' then has a screenshot of the tweet.
