I don’t want to risk the development of Barry, but he has only started to show some promise and zero goals. January is a long way away and I think there are too many ‘it depends’ right now. I hope we aren’t in for Toney but if we are it will be because Barry isn’t producing the numbers.

Will be absolutely devastated if we sign JWP.
Our fans will absolutely love him as well, for 2-3 weeks.

I mean he might offer some cover for AFCON, but he seemed to drop off a cliff over the last 18 months or so. Couldn't get in the West Ham or Forest sides, don't think it was down to injury or anything like that was it?

I can see it now, a dream midfield three of Garner, KDH and JWP…

Can we go with KDH, JWP and IGG, then bring back DCL, AVM and maybe PVDH.

I wonder what RVP is up to these days?

Chuck DDP, MJF in and HHH while we are at it.

Where’s this come from?
Also, agreed.
Get me a physical DM and/or a line-breaking, passing machine or don’t even bother.

Had to Google it but apparently JWO is James Ward Prowse.
Absolutely agree. Wrong player, wrong time, wrong wrong, wrong wrong.
Power, pace and technical ability need to be prioritised for any new additions. And I know how that sounds, but we have to try.

Have we even been linked with JWP? Seems that original comment comment came out of nowhere.

JWP honestly wouldn’t even get on our bench. Or at least he absolutely shouldn’t.
He doesn’t get ahead of Rohl or Tim I. He is far far too slow. The game has moved on from a few years ago when he was half decent.
Centre midfielders now in the PL have to be absolute beasts to compete. Physically and ability wise. We moan about Garner but to be a starting midfielder and actually do ok is some feat. That’s why Gana has to be considered one of the best we have had. It’s so difficult to do what he is doing and he has done it for a decade or more and continues to defy age.
A lot of CMs disappear after one or two years because they don’t have all the attributes needed to be at the very top. Maybe they peaked for 18-24 months and were good enough at that point in time like JWP, but not everyone is a Gana.

Ex is a great source of West Ham info, but I can't see this one happening

Ok I see it's an actual link then... Seems lazy journalism though to pick his former team and former manager as those 'interested'. Maybe I'm wrong but that just looks very made up by them just because he will likely move on in Jan or the Summer.

Fingers crossed this is internet drivel.
