Actually made me a bit emotional watching that. That period was the best time for me watching Everton. I was very young when we had our success in the 80s. Anything seemed possible back then.

My last few posts have been quite negative about Moyes

But I will say this: if you skipped us out of his career and he went from PNE to failure at United and then did everything the same (Sociedad, Sunderland then the 2 west ham stints). Wed probably be quite excited by this appointment.

Ok, he failed when he stepped up and when he went abroad and Sunderland is a black spot. But he's 10 years younger (cause he didn't come to us) and the last two spells at west ham are pretty impressive.

I'm on the verge of talking myself around here

It’s a bit unexciting for me but he used to be known for his largely sound shrewd signings and we certainly could use some of that
