A shame we fucked it in the semi final as I think we could have had a small fighting chance against Spain.

This isn’t the Spain team at their very, very best. They’re a bit blunt in attack currently with Yamal and Williams still recovering.

Tuchel deffo fucked it.

Surprised by that tbh mate, don't think England would have laid a glove on this Spanish side. They might not blow teams away but the control they have in matches is incredible.

Seem to remember Richy taking some pretty good stances on issues affecting people. Merlin strikes me as the same as well.

I agree but I do think for the control they with the injuries to their wingers they are still a bit light in attack, so offer a bit of a puncher’s chance of getting something from a game. I mean even this Argentina team who didn’t want to play and with ten men had a great opportunity at the end to take it to penalties. Then who knows what happens.

My point was really that I think this is comparatively the weaker version of Spain as with Yamal etc actually fit they probably stroll games far more easily rather than relying on Merino to score late as he did a couple of times or Torres today.

Really enjoyed the competition up until the quarters.

I felt like the fatigue was really noticeable and a lot of teams tried to conserve their energy through the games.

The trump intervention felt like it took the air out of the tournament as well.

Loved the group stages and the early knockouts. A lot of great games and fun moments.

Spain were the best team but felt like they plodded along for most of the tournament and were never really tested but maybe that’s because they’re so good at controlling the game.
