Blue Steel reporting that Moyesβ four priority signings are Delap, Spence, Hackney and Bowen. Fucking Premier League ready
Just put me out of my misery, it is the humane thing to do.

Bowen's goal and assist output is miles ahead of Ndaiye's.
The issue is that we'll buy Bowen for as much as we'd sell Ndiaye, let Bowen is four years older with no resale value - it's awful short termism and representative of this incarnation of Moyes wanting "ready now" and not sustainably building the club for the future

Yep understand that and agree in the main.
If we sign Hackney though I feel the kind of offsets it a bit, and we need a mix of experience and youth. We've signed a lot of the latter recently so the odd player for now is fine and will kick us on immediately which is what people want.
It'd depend on fee and wages for me, and I think both would be beyond what we can afford.

I mean. The concept and idea of having Bowen here is something I like.
20 goal involvements last season can't he ignored.
But he is what, 30?
Suppose Grealish is too.
If we make George permanent and sign Bowen (presumably meaning we sell Ndiaye) You could argue that Bowen and Grealish are the "for now" wingers with Dibling and George being the ones to step in in a few years time.
These signings are OK as long as we have some future youth involved.
Bowen does just feel a bit "Moshiri" though doesn't it.

Spence would be like prime Cafu compared to what we've had in recent times.
Bowen's goal and assist output is miles ahead of Ndaiye's.
Barry Vs Delap seems like a choice between shitting or pissing your pants.
Which 1 is pissing cos ive done both and you cant tread piss through the house

Blue Steel paints a picture of a lad in a brown mack and a trilby whispering behind a newspaper in a basement car park. Blue Horseshoe loves Anacott Steel.

If i had faith in Moyes to properly develop and give minutes to the Aznous, Diblings and Georges of the word then i'd also be banging this drum.
We are still shaky, a relegation battle is within the realms of possibility and relying on kids that will have ups-and-downs could be a recipe for disaster.
But, on paper, older-heads with young understudies is an absolutely viable way-of-working to balance our squad.

Please please please don't piss all the Ndiaye money away on Bowen ffs.
If that happens the club have learnt nothing and we'll get what we deserve.
The only clubs who can splash out loads of money on older players are the clubs challenging for honours every year, we're not obviously. Our model has to be different.
He'll cost a fortune won't he?

I principle I like it, but we also need a few who can play now and aren't going to be dead weight in a few years. Preferably at right back.
