Jaden Philogene
Re: Jaden Philogene
It's a shame we haven't had a decent sale out the door. That would make a difference you would think.

Would probably make a difference in how much they’d try to squeeze out of us, too

I think his agent is doing a lot of banjo tickling on this to be fair, as well he should.

If the player doesn't tell Hull it's us or nobody then fuck him. Hull were happy with our bid, player reported as wanting us... that's it or not

Re: Jaden Philogene
How does the old adage of offer and acceptance work in regard to contracts these days. Or are they acceptance only on the condition no one comes in on the interim with a higher bid?

Re: Jaden Philogene
Yeah relaxed about this one - we are clearly targeting a young fast winger and so they’ll be several other options lined up already
Re: Jaden Philogene
Whether this one comes off or not I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about this coming season... We seem to have a much more cohesive transfer strategy and have shifted big earners off the books who didn't contribute whilst looking to replace with young hungry high potential players on far less money.
When you think we were paying Gomes £120k a week Vs paying two hungry younger players probably half, with a potential high profit down the line, it just feels like a different time for the club finally.
It also seems we understand where we need to strengthen, so if we manage to do that, and build on the points total Dyche achieved last season then we could be in for some fairly comfortable and hopefully fun times.
