Would hope it's a bit cheaper with some add-ons taking it to £10m. Just seems a lot for a player that is not likely prem ready.

Loan to Ajax or some such, and then tutelage from Gana, if it's up to 10m incl senior caps etc then I think the move itself almost guarantees money back if he gets a few games.

Low risk for an England U20, decisions, strength on the ball, and distribution from those small video samples do look like they need to be developed.

“We need to stop letting managers buy players they want, it’s how we got in this mess”

*buy young player to develop*

“Why are we buying this guy?! He’s not a Dyche player, he won’t ever play! What a waste of money”

Well played

Maybe there’s frustration that we aren’t signing Josh Brownhill and look like signing a young player which a high ceiling, who’s relatively cheap?

You know, because we’ve heard how the squad would be filled with old Burnley players and nobody exciting because dyche is a dinosaur etc

Snake-hips, impressive tackle and can pick a pass?
I’m in love.

This is my summer fling. I’m gonna romance myself all summer about how he’s an Onana upgrade and I’m not gonna listen to reason. I won’t be told.

Bring it on, Big Tim Ironbuns!

Just reading some QPR forums about him. Mixed reports in all honesty (for whatever forum comments are worth!). General impression appear to be that he's still quite raw, ability on the ball but very prone to letting people run past him and not generally tracking runners. People seem to think he's more of an AM than a CM or DM. Some think 10m is a good piece of business, some think he's nowhere near ready for the Prem and only just about holds his own in the Championship.

On Villa forums it seems like they had high hopes for him as a youth product coming into the team towards the end of the season, but weren't massively convinced he could offer anything for a team in the Top 6 just yet, and that he needs game time elsewhere to develop and grow confidence. Still a view that he has plenty of potential.

Mind you, 10m for a 19 year old who has upside, what’s not to like?
He's actually 21 in a couple of weeks. Not being pedantic, just pointing it out as it most likely means he's being bought for the first team rather than to loan out.

It’ll be something like a £1m down payment, with the rest amortised over the length of the contract and incentives.

It’s the same as the Chermiti deal. He could have a great career with us and we’ll still never pay anything near the supposed €15m. It was a small down payment and an easy deal to do. It certainly didn’t stop us from signing other players.

No way villa considering their finical situation would accept a deal like that im all for these kind of deals but can’t see him playing much with gana duke and garner there in front of him assuming Onana leaves
