Not very exciting but wonder if we will try hit them up for naming rights to the stadium at some point? The Red Bull Arena wouldn't be the worst sounding name even if I hate the drink and the F1 team.
Any chance that Red Bull will give us wingers?

Hate to say this as I've only noticed it due to a resshite pointing it out...but the south stand is no longer one big stand, it's now cut in half.

Was supposed to be like Dortmund's yellow wall, but at some point between design and completion it's obviously been binned.

Does anyone recall them telling us about this?

Is the rumor true that we are waiting on buying the grass in as as if Dyche is still in charge he’s in favour of just playing in the dirt

It's always been that way in the final design - some of the early concepts looked at a single tier but it looks like the break is required to maximise the steepness and get fans closer to the pitch, plus needed to accommodate safe standing. I think it's technically a split single tier, and should barely be noticeable once it's painted blue and when the stands are full.

There was something initially about capacity to be able to expand from 52,888 (would be great atmosphere if this was filled every week) , and I thought it had something to do with modifying/extending the standing sections, but since that this may not be on the table any more without major works? Can't remember where I read it, and assume some further conservatism given the lack of £s, brass dunnies instead of gold plated.

There is no room to physically expand the stadium (it's not been "future-proofed").

The talk about increasing it to 60k was around a rule change to change two sections of the ground to install rail seating for safe standing. (Legal changed required)

"The last seat is significantly more expensive to build that the first" was the line given for the 52k figure. Above that amount became prohibitive in a cost/benefit analysis.

Any capacity increase would depend on new safe standing laws being implemented - which is nowhere near the horizon. The ratio would be about 1 seated to 1.8 standing, which for Bramley-Moore could be roughly a 10k increase in capacity.

Nice mate, appreciated, it's coming back to me now. 👍 Shame we can't go beyond 53k as it would allow for big growth in the future if we've ever a chance of getting back to the big time in the medium term at least.

Love that @Trowel is the fountain of all knowledge when it comes to the stadium. The club need to get him on board.

I get the reasoning for it but I’m really disappointed about not getting the one huge stand.

Would look really cool that, but the other way sounds like it could be better anyway.

Yeah I feel like the whole blue wave blue wall thing was a major part of the early story telling, and then...it's just gone and it's just a two tier stand like any other.

We could have had the wailing blue wall.
