Young Henderson coming on to see if he's got a future playing for England.

Honestly is there any England memory from recent decades that you’ll cherish?

Bellingham's goal against Serbia, Pickford in the penalty shootout against Switzerland, they're the most recent ones. But yeah, they're pretty thin on the ground.

Kane is great no doubt about it

But has he ever bossed a game single handedly?

Would you imagine him coming on and doing something magical to turn it in your favour?

No he's definitely not in the Messi / Ronaldo class of superstar which is what we're talking about here. He can change games but he can't dominate them like the absolute best do. It's why he's one of England's best ever players but not the best.

Absolute horseshit. Glad I didn't pay. Wembley is such a pain to get in and out of too and I forgot how far from the pitch the stands are. I won't be rushing to another England game.

I'm going Wimbledon v Barrow tomorrow with a couple of mates as I'm in London. I can 100% guarantee it will be miles better then tonight's experience.

I hate games like last night as you really can't judge anything on them in terms of the likelihood of going deep in a tournament.

I think the inclusion of Rashford made some sense in that during the euros we had no one running in behind when Kane dropped deep so having that pace and goal threat is important... However he was pretty crap and there was no space so really it didn't work.

You need to keep the width against a low block so using Foden out right was pointless, if you're asking someone to hug the touchline you're asking the wrong person in Foden. Seemed a case of putting in one of our best players for the sake of it instead of playing someone suitable there.

Rice as the deepest midfielder doesn't play to his strengths and it's something Carsley identified but again Tuchel just seemed to want to put him there because he's a big name rather than his suitability.

What type of midfielder is Jones? I can never really tell when I've seen him play. Didn't do much to justify his selection.

Burn was great in both boxes but he's not international class and we were crying out for a Branthwaite breaking through the lines with the ball type player last night which Burn managed a couple of times but clearly isn't someone who should be starting for a England.

Walker very good at recovering ground when we lost possession, but turned back every single time he got to the byline instead of crossing which he has a habit of doing and has done for some time.

So yeah didn't really learn anything other than we can expect Tuchel to just put round pegs in square holes if it means accomodating the biggest names which rarely ends in success.

Gordon would have been better over Rashford. In the Euros i still can't believe he didn't play him.

He will constantly run at defenders and take people on. And stay wide.

He is also having a far better season than Rashford.

Walker is awful. Speed merchant. Shite.

Don't see the point of thinking about it too much, only thing that matters is the tournament. These games are pointless and Tuchel and seeing what he's got available, for better or worse.

Did they say we aren’t playing anyone ranked higher than Senegal before the World Cup?

So we’ll learn nothing until it’s too late?

Enjoyed Gordon getting injured with the last kick. Nice little buzz at the end of the game.
