I read that as should West Ham be willing to drop down a division. They don’t have much choice!!

On a positive note for Dwight, it's still arguably a division higher than he should be playing, so not all negative.

I had a little chuckle at the commentator praising his "shit I'm out of position" slide tackle as something he's known for and the best in the business at.

Always makes me laugh when people get praised for that, Van Der Ven at Spurs is another one who makes the hollywood tackled and recoveries and get the praise even though he's the one who caused the need by being out of position

If we do Barry for Delap and Wan Bissaka for McNeil, which would be steady if unspectacular, then if we never see JOB at right back and McNeil in an Everton shirt again it’s an improvement, by default.

I’d say it’s more sideways than an improvement, Delap has huge fitness issues now, yes he needs games 1 goal in 28 games and £40m price tag, probably could get it lower but how low to take the gamble.

AWB is also very average, 2 assists in 23 starts and 78% pass completion rate. O’Brien was 1 assist in 35 and 74% pass completion rate.

AWB was always being slated at Utd for being defensively sound but shite going forwards….. sounds familiar…..

Hope you’re not talking about O’Brien because he’s not defensively sound as a fullback.

He’s trying his best there and he’s a good CB but his positioning as a RB is poor and AWB would be a massive upgrade just by virtue of knowing the position

Thought AWB was really good yesterday. Actually think wed really appreciate him here. Absolutely lightyears ahead of o brien and patterson.

£40M for Doue is an insane price for a RB. Can't see us going near that.

Shame as sounds ideal but we just don't have that kind of cash unfortunately
