I believe to allow any new signings to be eligible to play against Leeds we need to register them 48 hours before.

Gives us until the 16th to get a RW in.

Get a fucking cunting move on Everton.

I wouldn't say zero chance.

A week away from the start of the season give or take without one right winger in is pretty appalling tbh.

Can defo see a compromise where KDH plays there quite a bit.

Certainly don’t see us signing two wingers at this point.

For Chelsea he played in the right half space, for Leicester he played left half space or off the striker.

What positions for us operate in that way, essentially forwards, it's off the striker or wide drifting in.

We don't play with a 3 in midfield with two 8s.

James garner has played wide right for us. Charlie has played wide left. Harrison Armstrong has played RW for us. Doucoure hasn't played as an 8 for us for years, he's played off the striker. Iwobi, an immeasurably better creative 8 or left hand side half space operator, hardly ever played either of those roles and played RW more than either of those.

If we line up with a single pivot and two 8s in the half space creating chances and crashing the box without somehow standing on Ndiayes toes and taking him out the game then I will be both surprised and delighted and KDH would be a good candidate for that role.

But we don't play with that system. So where does it leave him?

He did also say in his welcome video that he’d play anywhere the manager wanted him to (or words to that effect) which makes me feel like more than one position has already been discussed.

He'll either play as a Doucoure replacement, or if we sign the left footed RW we clearly crave we'll likely switch to a midfield 3 as both Ndaiye and Dibbling (or whoever) will be drifting inside meaning there's no need for a support striker anymore.

Unless we fail to sign an RW which I don't believe for a second will happen he won't spend any significant time as a wide player, we'll have McNeil covering both flanks as a sub, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a loan for a Lindstrom type player who can play a couple of positions but primarily right side come in around deadline day too.

We haven't signed KDH to play on the wing, and he won't play there unless in an emergency.

Mate I hate to have to repeat this to you, but I am not saying he's been signed as a winger.

I said he'll play as a forward player, and he'll be RW before you see him as a CM. Partly because of what he is as a player and partly because of all the stuff I've said above.

So Jack, Tyler or neither. Is that where we are? Everything else seems to have fallen off of the news radar.

Also btw Lindstrom was a fucking ten who spent his entire Everton career hugging the touchline running doggies.

We've at least found a player who's prem g+a per 90 is worse than KDH!

(Prem only, don't check career Vs career.)

Would love a fucking surprise announcement at the game today. After all this stuff about the Friedkins being so tight-lipped, is that still too much to ask for in this world of everything being on social media first?

Yes. There's too many people involved in deals now. That and the fact it takes us 4 days to complete medicals and sort the announcements so there's no point getting your hopes up.
