I actually like England much more since Southgate made them more human and less tribal

Yeah I hear that, and I don't really dislike the players or the manager at all (especially since there aren't any reds involved). They seem like a sound bunch. It's just all the other stuff that comes with England support that grims me out. But that's a discussion for another day, and I don't wanna derail the thread away from the footie.

Hope it's an epic game.

Have to admit not arsed when we lose , but when it's a typical rip off as in a Rooney * sending off and dodgy pens etc / goals and fuming all night .......

But we owe these fuckers one .... Needs to see them crying..... They're going to be all over the ref tonight, cheating bastard's. Got my moan in early .

Come on England , Jordan.....

Love it when the expected team news is wrong

James & Spence IN... Like it more when Spence comes on to see game out...

I know precisely what you’re saying and I agree with it

I'm not too bothered who wins tonight, I don't want England to win the whole thing but not in the same way I didn't want Liverpool to win the league. My grandpa was English, I support an English club and growing up I always like England at football and cricket so I don't really have any deep rooted hatred for England.

Like most people it's just all a bit tiresome listening to 'it's coming home' etc, they've been telling us that for 30 years now and after 60 years of hurt it still hasn't happened. I think they'll win something eventually, be it this world cup or a Euro and they should, for a country like England to have won one major tournament, a home one at that is pretty poor. At least having a German manager has stopped all the flagshaggers singing '10 German bombers' etc.

To be fair, your unoffical anthem has been telling England that Proud Edward's coming home since the mid 60's.😉

Good to see Reece James starting (assuming he's fit enough to get through it).

Sent him home, there's a difference. Like, if Argentina send England home tonight, it won't be coming home. 🙂

Poor ITV, spunked all that money on their fancy studio but it's BBC who have the England game tonight. And they don't have the 3rd place play off either, so with a bit of luck they'll miss that England game too. 😉

Man for man, that’s the best team we’ve put out so far in this tournament.

I feel a lot better about things seeing stones and James in that defence.

Should give us a lot more on the ball.

It's a joke though the coming home stuff, self deprecating humour.

Mad how so many people get annoyed at it haha

Partner and daughter watching this with me tonight. I’ve been warned, if Argentina score and I so much as raise a Roger Moore eyebrow then I’m banned from the WC final and possibly a season long MotD ban on review.could be a tough night.

Need to be hammering these cunts 3-0 by half time, they’ll be getting every lame dive and slight penalty chance thrown to them otherwise

Like probably most football fans (surely?) I am affected a million times more with my club team.

I'll be sad if England lose but like others, tomorrow I'll.not feel any different.

Whereas Everton, I'd feel suicidal
