He looks good! A composed defensive midfielder who can play football.

Yeah you're right about that but if we bring in one more CM and one RW minimum we should be able to cope.

We’ll hit the £100m mark with Dibling and dewsbury hall with hopefully more to come.

Say we sign Dewsbury-Hall and Dibling.

Then we add Lopy or another DM to serve as understudy for Gana and a RB like Maitland-Niles or Justin to give us a natural option there.

Throw in a deadline day loan for Grealish who’d immediately improve us and be a good player for Dibling to learn from.

That’s a decent summer for our needs.

Apparently they want €20m for Lopy

Yeah, I mentioned this earlier, it would be comparative dreamland to where we are right now in this moment, and to where we were at the end of the season.

Armstrong goes out on loan with a view to playing a proper role for us next season.

Iroegbunam goes out on loan with a view to selling next summer.

Alcaraz continues to contribute from the bench and becomes a starter next season if he works out the sloppy edges of his game or we look to sell if not.

McNeil gets time to show what he can offer during AFCON with an eye on a sale next summer.

Nice to have some succession options and ways to raise some extra funds for next summer.

Maybe the optics aren’t the most exciting but you can see the outlines of our plan. Have to actually make the signings, mind you.

No way Dibling and KDH couldn't have been got at these prices months ago though.

I understand waiting a bit but there was too much to do this summer not to he aggressive in getting at least a few more deals over the line with time for a pre-season.

That's sort of the point of what the forum has been arguing about though isn't it?

We weren't after these players earlier. We tried for other deals. They've not came off, we have switched our attention to more realistic prospects (and now people are arguing that they are not good enough)

Why everytime we are about to sign a player someone comes out and says they are crap before they kick a ball. It does my head in. We cry out for players but this forum has so much negativity when we look like we are about to get someone out come the downers and spread gloom.
How about getting behind the club who are obviously trying to get people in instead of constantly putting the boot in.

You love it really.

The wildly different views are what makes this forum so great. If we all agreed with eachother it would be a boring world

I actually agree about too much neg sometimes, but sometimes the links and signings are actually shite. I poo poo’d maupay when we signed him saying he was utter shite and either brap or the ram (I think, apologies if I have that wrong) said he wasn’t 😂

On the flip I was proper neg about McNeil and had that wrong.

Loved Beto from the off

It’s hard to turn off your gut sometimes, and that’s compounded by how fucking miserably the club have been run for years
