He did look an awkward unit.

We've basically enquired about the entire West Ham squad haven't we? 🤣

Probably just lazy journalism linking a player likely to leave with a club potentially doing business with that team.

He's only 5' 10" so doesn't really fit the profile Moyes will want, and he's not exactly had a prolific career in front of goal, so doesn't seem a likely one.

I thought we were looking at Tony Cascarino for a second there, he's a proper Moyes striker.

Right age profile too.

We trying to corner the market on strikers who can’t score

Moyes has never really relied on a regular goal scorer tbf.

I think if we could sign a striker who guaranteed 10-12 goals a season with top quality hold up play it'd be hugely impactful on our overall effectiveness.

Imagine direct passes to a guy who can kill it instantly and lay it off to Grealish, KDH or Ndaiye.

That's how Moyes would want to play, but right now we either have Beto who forgets there's a ball and spends the whole time grappling a defender, or remembers but his shin propels it back the way it came, or Barry who doesn't bother to move and only tries to do something if it's straight at him.

I doubt it. He covers West Ham for the Guardian.

So your point was that we *should* behave like a Brighton / Brentford, is that right?

No mate it was meant for a certain poster on here who slates everything Everton from the scouting team, coaches, management team, transfer team etc etc etc….and constantly states we should be doing it the Brighton/ Brentford way….

Against us? Even the corner flags looked good against us that game.

Is that me? Is well run club with great scouting an odd call? Feels like a better bet than sentiment and making statements but each to their own.
