Probably got a bollocking from Dan and was told to talk it up a bit.

Liked the line from Moyes: “we’ve got plenty in the squad we’d like to send out on loan or do other things with”.

“Do other things with”: not only has he got a tiny squad, he clearly wants a few of them completely fucked off.

Feel like at this point I’d be thinking we’re not gonna get everything done that we want to. I’d just get Hackney, Fellows and Justin in and think at least with those 3 we won’t have spent a fortune on either transfer fees or wages but have signed first team ready players addressing areas where we need players

Dibling at 40mil for someone who probably isn’t gonna be trusted straight away isn’t great short term business when we’ve got some big short term problems that need addressing

I get that it’s a leap of faith a bit on 2 young championship players but they’ve got tons of potential and have both played a lot of competitive football this last year or so and we can’t seem to land the prem proven players we want

I'm the complete opposite of this tbh.

I'd get Dibbling in over Fellows every day of the week, the guy has a very high ceiling imo. £25m for Fellows is probably worse business than £35m + add ons for Dibbling. There's a reason the latter has been given a higher reputation already and it's because he's widely seen as being someone who will go on to do great things. I haven't seen anyone say anything similar about Fellows.

I'd get KDH in over Hackney too, not that I wouldn't want Hackney but KDH just slots in and immediately improves the team. Hackney probably isn't ready to play a starting role week in week out, and that's something we desperately need.

I'm fine with Justin, can't remember ever seeing him play but we're so desperate for an RB I'd take almost anyone who's played there regularly at a decent level right now.

I think people are under valuing Dibbling especially on here. If we got him for £35m it'd be the same as we paid for Onana, and he's arguably got more experience and is at the very least as highly rated at this age. Yeah he's not going to put in mad numbers but I think he'd be very effective nonetheless and could grow in to a monster for us or at least a big profit whilst offering us a lot more on the ball than Harrison or Lindstrom ever managed.

A lot of what you have just said is why we probably won't get Dibbling for £35m though

Yeah I think that's the limit I'd go to tbh, anything more and it's too much of a gamble. I think we'd be able to get him for that but unless we actually increase our bid then we'll never know.

I do think he's worth the money though if we do, the kid's got mad talent, just needs a good manager who has a history of developing players to see his value and productivity sky rocket imo.

Could easily see us flipping him for double in 24 months time.

We need players for the now though don’t we?

Just saying Fellows last season 4 goals 14 assists . Dibling was 2 goals no assists

Fellows to me looks like the more sensible option out of the 2. Or at least someone that we know Moyes is gonna trust to play from the off. We have no one for that starting spot right mid

He’s only 22 as well, won’t cost mega bucks and will still have resale value

Would actually like us to get 2 players to play on that right tbh

Just personally I’d be going all out for the starting right mid, centre mid and right back before I’d be looking to drop 35-40mil on someone who potentially isn’t gonna be able to come into the team immediately (or won’t be deemed ready by the manager)

If its true that Dibling is seen as moving central as he matures, it'd make sense to sign both him and Fellows.

Fellows
Dibling
Hackney
KDH
Justin
And a Grealish late loan

Is asking too much with the time left and i dont know about our budget, but would allow us to send out on loan or sell Patterson, Armstrong, Iroegbunam and possibly Chermiti.

Pickford
Travers

O'Brien Tarkowski Branthwaite Mykolenko
Justin Keane Aznou

Gana KDH
Garner Hackney

Fellows Ndiaye Grealish
Dibling Alcaraz McNeil

Beto
Barry

Realistically it'll probably be 4 of the 6.

And btw I do actually like the look of Dibling, he’s got raw talent. Just don’t think Moyes would give him sufficient game time this season if he is going to be the only new attacking player we sign

It's hard to know with Fellows, can he transfer those numbers to the premier league, and he's also not very quick so that concerns me.

Dibbling seems like a much more exciting talent to me, and I think if we thought Fellows was up to it we'd have signed him by now. Can't imagine it's a hard task to get him.

Dibbling would be in straight away, not sure why people think he's not ready. If we can play a season with Harrison and Lindstrom there then a much more talented player would be starting every game.

I just think everything I've read and watched about Dibbling rates him as a bonified wonderkid with enormous potential which is something that excites me, and I just want to be excited by at least one of our signings.
